My grass has disappeared. I have visited neighbors, turned my Kindle fire off and back on, turned the game off and back on to no avail. Please let me know what to do to fix it.

I'm an android user and I've had the same problem too but found that closing all other apps down and leaving it for a few minutes rectified the problem.The game has also started getting very slow when I visit neighbours that are on a very high-level as well as colouring their background blue and not always showing dragons.
