March 7th update notes mentioned sending and receiving free energy?

There have been a couple updates after that version, it was version 1.1.3 when it was mentioned. I am connected to Facebook and I see my friends playing, but I don't see any way to send or receive anything from them? Was this a mistake in the patch notes? Is this a feature that will be coming in the future that isn't ready yet?
