I would love to expand but in order to do so it says I need two wisp lanterns and that ok supposed to get them from the workshop yet when I check the workshop there is no such thing please help and thanks in advance for your responses

You have to craft the wisp lanterns in the workshop. It takes 5 coal to make an earth wisp. It takes 3 earth wisps to make a wisp lantern. You can get the coal from rocks or by collecting from your mine. Hope this helps.

Is the max energy level 30 or does it go higher as you advance levels cause 30 just isn't enough

Thirty is the max. Some people have a slightly higher amount but it was due to TL trying out some things. We feel your pain on the 30 energy limit.
