Lost my album gift

Why does it totally disappear when hit collect and u didnt know ur egg hatching nest had one already thats not fair i lost a storm dragon just now uncool it should still be there waiting someone needs to change it so it doesnt vanish common. Thst just pissed me off. I was all happy now it vanished. Anyone else have this happen?

I am fairly new to DS and I had something similar happen. My album gift ended up in my storage and I placed the egg in the nest in between breeding.
