another two weeks update ... its diamond hybrid: shell lizard (pearl) and diamond combo cause the name start with gem stone like other diamond pegasus, ruby manticore, sapphire kraken, topaz gargoyle,

I love it!!! I agree With everyone else bet it is Diamond and Shell Lizard combo. Hate the fail time but will sure be trying for it. I also wish we could get some new decorations for this game like we do in dragon story. I want to make my island pretty for my monsters.

I have started keeping some of the plants and rocks that are supposed to be cleared because they are prettier than what is available to decorate with.

Imagine my entire island being surrounded by lavablooms because a 4 year old said they look "crisp and special". They make my eyes cross. Cant wait for this one! Building my extra diamond habitat now. Just wish I wasnt having nightmares by being reminded of the 20 hour fail times.

I think I'll try breeding this one using Sky Turtle and Diamond Pegassus, at least its common fail time will be only 6 hours, and if I somehow end up unlucky, I think I'll have 44 or 36 hours fail time which had my mind confused whether it's a bad or a good luck.

don't try this combo! i think in monster story you're only able to breed diamond hybrids with pure element + diamond. sky turtle + diamond should only give you another sky turtle, a shellwing or an eguana :(

Pearl Platypus (Level 10) gives you 6,560 coins per hour making it the most profitable monster.

I'm glad that I got this monster on my first try. I spent 192 gold. Not bad.

Yes, I did. I always use the simplest elements to get the new monsters unless I'm trying more than 20 times then I switch it up.

I wish we can have more habitats. I like to have three of each Diamond Hybrid. So far, I have no luck. I have 20 hour breed time.

I got this first try! I put the egg on the nest and I'm one of your neighbours Sehana, my island is called Salt. (It was supposed to be Saltmarsh but the server cut me off half way through typing it and I think its kind of funny ;)

I just notice that when the Pearl Platypus window pops up it says Super Rare but when you go to the market it says Ultra Rare. Somebody should fix that because we all know that all Diamond Hybrids are Ultra Rare. Also, it's cheaper than Ruby Manticore yet it earns more. Shouldn't it cost the same or more?

also wondered about this! i think a fair price for pearl platypus would be 2.600 gold, although that actually doesn't matter xD

I got the Platypus within 5 tries... But the Frogalog I still don't have after two weeks of constant trying. Even got two Searex during.

I have been trying since its release, to no avail.. Are there any other combinations besides diamond and shell? I can't even keep any shell monsters since buying a new habitat is no longer possible.. 20 hours fails just to have to sell them is a bummer. I can't get any monster I need.. Got so many sea buffaloes and griffins and ecogoo and palmwig. Couldn't get a pumpkin, fur, firestorm, king clam, yulesky, forest, hermit, guana,slime, searex,birdball, sapphire, topaz, and ruby..I used gold and all that to no avail.. I know patience is a virtue but TL its hard to stay and wanna play this game.. I'm sighing when I see can't even get an old monster.. Stuck at level 30 nothing to decorate and can't even get a new monster..

I deleted the game. Since the slime I didnt get any new monster.. no slime not one of the last realease not even a pegasus.. I played daily and was level50. I m feed up.

Ugh.... been trying since update and still not Platypus...getting tired of seeing Shell Lizard eggs.
Nonstop breeding too and ive YET to get this dreasful animal. Its beyond annoying. Makes me miss the 15 hour fails for the other brat.

Finally! Just got this little demon. Threw out my old shell and used a freshly evolved one. Now I can go back to alternating between breeding my two diamonds and trying for magmadillo.

I have tried for NOTHING BUT that pearl platypus since the day it was released, every 20 hours like clockwork, thats roughly 57 attempts, almost 2 months straight.. and NADA!! I am so far beyond frustrated with this game. There are hardly ever any new updates, and when we do get an update, the new monster is impossible to breed? Am I doing something wrong? If you've bred one of these elusive little monsters, could you please give me some tips...? Thank you!

Just keep at it. Once you have it, you won't have anything to do anymore, so no rush.

At least you have a Diamond, so that you are capable of "trying" to breed a Pearl Platypus.
I believe there are still many people who couldn't manage to breed one diamond.
Just keep trying, wish you good luck.
BTW
I hope this game not die, because I love Diamond Pegasus so much.
Diamond Pegasus is the best design of all creature from DS and MS.

Got it yesterday. In den right now. Funny thing is, I had a heck of a time getting the Diamond/Fire hybrid. Took me weeks !!! Got platypus after maybe 7 tries.

Got all of them now? If so, GRATS! Took me about 20+ tries to get my first one, I'm currently working on Pearl Platypus #3.

oh my to this day I still can't get it. What is up with that? Its the only one I need so not a big worry, BUT still whats up? I have sold my Shell and lvl a few up and still nothing. I have stayed with same ones on same side, then change up after what maybe 10 fails.
I think TL hates me :'(

Maybe try DiamondxShraptor? The fails would be Tree Rex, Shraptor, Forest Scarab (wich all have shorter breeding times than SL) and Shell Lizard
