This DRATTED game is asking me to buy items that are already in my storage.to complete goals. For example, I had to buy two bird cages, when I already had in storage.

If I restore the items to the floor, will it recognize that & credit me with the items already purchased? I have quite limited space.

Some goals are not retroactive. Try placing one from storage, to see if this complete the goal. If not, you will need to purchase more to complete the goal.
