Dragon story android vs IOS need advise

I am on android.
If there is a dragon that can be purchased do I have the ability to obtain the dragon via breeding? For example the amethyst dragon is in my "store" but I am reading it can only be crafted. I do not have ability to craft.
Can I breed amethyst or is it a lost cause?

No one can breed a dragon that needs to be crafted.
IOS players can craft or buy the dragon.
Androids only have the option to buy.
