I am on kindle and as I am visiting my neighbors the game stops responding. It happens after about 3 or 4 neighbors. I have uninstalled and reinstalled already. Is anyone else having this happen?

I am on iPhone 4s and I am also having this problem. I can only visit 3 or 4 people and then it crashes. I am at level 94 myself. Most of my neighbors are as well. I do have the new beta test/quest feature. This has been happening since the most recent update. ALSO...I have an old iphone that uses only wifi, so it's basically an ipod. I started a new account there and I've always been unable to visit anyone over level 30 or so. I'm now at level 22 myself and I can't do anything on my own island. I can clear my habitats and send maps but I can't even farm food without it crashing. My primary concern is on my main account since I have invested real money there and it is very frustrating to play when the game crashes every few visits. I seriously hope this issue is being addressed!

Mine has been crashing, on DS (android) a lot after the update but when I play on ND which I didn't update, it works fine but still crashes just not as much as the updated DS does.

After I posted this, I crashed less often. I noticed that the island I was visiting and non-crashing on did not have iOS deco on them. I am really starting to believe the beta testing is causing it as well as high level players with lots of deco and dragons. I have one 94 lvl neighbor's island that I always lag on but have never DCed from it. It may be that others with weaker internet connections are now crashing from them.

Either way, this all started with the newest update of the missions thing for beta testers on iOS. It is just too bad that the step children on Android have to feel the pain as well. On the good side, Kendle doesn't have the high feeding costs, so I have just been farming food to level up my dragons instead.

ive noticed alot of crashing on my 1stgen ipad over the past week or so as well. Uninstall and reinstall hasnt made a difference. I assume there is a bug they are working on and it will be fixed shortly.

I play only on an iPod (Wifi) and mine is the same with the crashing - mostly when I play neighbors who are level 94 and even on myself (I am level 94). SO annoying having to start over all the time and not being able to play on my best neighbors!!! Also, if I think I was done with say, clearing my habs or planting my farms - when I restart some time later, the game actually reverts to before I had done my clearing and planting - thus wasted time!!

I just got kicked out 6 times in the last 20 minutes. Usually visiting an island level 94 with all spaces cleared - no more spaces to expand - but sometimes it is when I am on my own island. It is getting to the point where I don't want to visit my neighbors. So frustrating. I am on iPad 1. I am also on lvl 94.

Thanks for visiting me...however may I ask that those that add me, post to my wall saying who they are? I get invites from a whack of people and have no way to corrolate who is who, so I end up deleting you as neighbors when really, I might want to keep you as neighbors.

So if you've invited me and been rejected, invite me again but post who you are to my wall, this I can accept the invite :-)

Posted on bug thread as well ..Valentines version crashed often ( maybe every 15 minutes ) but could play.but past week crashes constantly .. Tried this week with updated orginal version with new features like breed boost.... Yesterday it was only 3 islands I found that I was crashing when trying to visit, but today I have found 2 new ones causing me to crash. Again, I am on Kindle v. 1.0.5.5 and already did the suggested fix after crashing again on ironicly Crash's Island.

I don't think it's specific islands. I'll crash even on my own island from time to time, usually after visiting 5-10 neighbors.

In fact my research has determined no dicernable pattern just yet, I'm close though...I know what it is and what is happening and somewhat "why" it's happening, but don't know more than that. I can't consistently reproduce it by doing a specific set of tasks, and that's what I'm trying to figure out now.

I am iphone4 IOS. My game crashes occasionally. At least once a day with no rythme or reason. Sometimes while I am collecting coins, sometimes while i am in-between visiiting neighbors - meaning not while I am on an island, but after I pick another neighbor to visit and fruitful is chasing his apple, the game will close.

Sometimes it doesn't crash, it just rebutts itself and goes back to my news page. Other times, it doesn't let me visit neighbors off of the news thread or wall. I have to go back to my neighbors list to play them. (I tap on the blue visit and go no where. Tap, tap tap, nothing. I then tap on another neighbor and it works. This just happens to two neighbors so far.)

After mega frustration I reinstalled DS and the crashing continued if not even worse. I then tried a hard restart (hold the home and power button until the device powers off) and let it sit turned off overnight. Haven't had a single crash today in DS or any other app for that matter. Yey!

Well, still get some crashes of varying types. Some of them don't even produce a report to send in, but I can tell you it was visiting a high level iOS player with lots of decorations on his island.

Actually, this player goes back and forth between iOS and android on the same island.

Tried to visit again and it worked, but usual slowness moving around an island with too many decorations.

- on my tab : first time since jan2013 that i can visit my 23neighbors in less than an hour. Left tips and small comments, no lag, no forced close, screen move softly. I v visited heavy island as light ones. No problem

- on my phone : first time since nov2012 that i m able to visit my 12neighbors without forced close. Left tips nd comments as well. No crash, no lag.

+ I tried to visit my "phone" island thru my "tab's" island - "phone" was visiting a neighbor - guess what : first time it didnt crash during a visit.

Then, for me, update is great and helpful. You cant imagine how i feel now : it is a real pleasure !

That's definitely not my experience. Still getting a lot of crashes , in particular out of memory errors at various points doing simple tasks. This is called a memory leak and TL needs to track this down ASAP. I can help with it if they want some additional programming help.

I'm still crashing as well. I wasn't in the game long before it happened, I was visiting my second island. Android 4.1.1 on Galaxy Note 2. So far the clashes aren't giving me error reports. I'll submit it if one pops up.

Thanks for letting us know. It's probably due to the same issue, but this fix was only for Android users with access to Google Play. We haven't released a fix for Kindle yet. Sorry!

Just updated and will test it out.

Updated client (1.0.7.2) seems to be working, and not F/C when going to actively Outpost questing neighbors now. Still seem to have memory leak issues after prolonged open client with multiple visits to high deco islands. Work around is to close the client every 8-10 visits. Thanks for the fix; looking forward to more, and especially ones for our Kindle neighbors too!

If you're on android, there appears to be a nasty memory leak which is causing many crashes. I've sent several reports in today alone.

My fiancee is on iOS, and she has quit a few force quits on her iPad (first generation, but recent OS version) but there isn't a reporting option for iOS it seems . Her iPhone doesn't crash it seems. Resets a lot, but doesn't quit like her iPad account.

I'm also on iPad 5.1.1 first generation ... ( also play on itouch 3rd generation ).. With recent dragon update my iPad crashes every few seconds ..don't even need to touch .. Almost impossible to plant the 6 things without crashing , can't use the portal , collect ..can't be on long enough to try to visit .....takes a full dayto get a few moves to " stick " .. Constantly undoes what I thought was finished steps I did ...

Not just dragon..same timing almost as Dragon castle also constantly crashing now on the iPad... I play DS ms FS RS bs hotel home zoo with never having crash issues on the ipad... I am an iPad 1 user. Having same issues as angela3737. I am at level 94. When I first sign on, I try to collect all my coins and crops that are done. Almost always get kicked out half way through that. Dragons are moving very slow at that point. Sign back in and have to do some of the steps over again. Then I start visiting neighbors. I get kicked out of almost every level 94 neighbor part way through leaving my 6 likes. I have been trying to play for the last hour and just finished clearing out my island and visited only 4 neighbors. Kicked out 8 times. So frustrating. I also get kicked out of Castle Story when visiting high level neighbors. I love playing bakery and farm, since I never get kicked out of them!

For iPad 1 users, is there any specific action you are making when the game force closes?

I find it almost always happens on my ipad 1, when I'm collecting food, planting food, or immediately after planting (usually while tapping habitats.) When I get back in all or most of my planting is undone & I have to do it again.

VERY annoying. For me it usually happens every other planting, so every 10-15 minutes or so.

This has been happening to me since I downloaded the Valentine's edition and then when I deleted that and installed the updated regular edition the beginning of March, it has been increasingly worse. It happens on my own island as well. I do not have the quest outpost, but I do have the breed boost. But as I said, this has been happening long before those new items. Just seems much worse now.

Since my last post ...something strange happened since this morning ..my Dragon and castle on iPad first generation has not been crashing that much..I was able for the first time to plant and collect without a single crash ..I did my usual delete reinstall yesterday ( I do that every few days to see if it will ever improve )... After I did that, it still kept crashing for another 10 hours ...but past few hours not bad.( only 2 crashes in 5 hours. Where before it would take 4 hours to do 5 moves)....interesting .....no sure if it matters ,I'm level 94.. .. Did something magically happen ?

Ok, thank you. I uninstall and then reinstalled game. Still unable to visit new neighbor. Added him/her to my main game and he/she is only lvl 25, has only a few decorations but has the outpost. I think that is why I am unable to visit because I didn't have any problem visiting my other neighbors.

Was Nice to have an update for Android to fix this, tyvm ! but... game still forced close when feed dragons/plant/visit/send maps or gold. A bit less but still. For example, I v feed my dragons two hours ago then closed the game.. I came back half an hour ago and it was like if I didnt do anything. Had to log in and out three times to have them definitivly feed.

I've sent in countless reports of the crashes 'outofmemoryerror' reports for the Android version of DS. Its virtually unplayable. There is a huge memory leak or garbage collection (java term) issue. This really needs to be top priority in the android version of the game. Then add missing features to bring it in par with iOS version.

It seems to happen to me most often when I am visiting a neighbor level 94 that has all or just about all spaces used. In other words, they probably cannot expand anymore. But then again, it happens on my own island as well. I have posted several replies to this thread in hopes we will get a fix for these crashes on iPad 1.

Another player who loves the game - playing on Kindle with increasing problems.
1) neighbors whose sites I cannot get to - the system forceably closes each time I attempt to visit one of these neighbors (so predictable I end a session by attempting to visit one of these.) This has been going on for about 5 days.
2) multiple game shut downs even when not attempting to visit one of problematic sites - or game stops with the message that "Application Dragon Story is not responding." Usually to that one, can press "wait" instead of "close." but frequency of this greatly slows progress of the game.
3) System seens to be moving slower the more I advance up levels and/or expand on isles. The game moves so slowly (and jumpy) when attempting to visit neighbors with level 94 that I hesitate to visit.
this worries me - because I fear that I will have the same trouble with my own site as I advance (level 47 now).
I have been an enthusiastic player - and it is tempting to invest real money in the game - like 500 gold coin habitats - but I don't want to do that if I will soon arrive at a place where the game is not playable on a Kindle.

I have heard about un-installing and re-installing. I don't know how to do that. And the one neighbor I know who has done that did it repeatedly, it didn't help sufficiently to make a difference, and she has quit playing.

I suspect that all of this is on your radar. You have designed a delightful game - one that I would like to continue to play, but unfortunately fear I am playing it on a device that can't really support the game.

I *think* I've narrowed down the android crashes and slowness issues. It happens after visiting (or while visiting) certain iOS players, particularly those that have a lot of decorations and/or of a high level.. if I visit a high level android player, even with lots of decorations, I don't have movement issues and the game doesn't crash with memory errors.

So something about loading up an island for iOS player causes memory related crash...big badda boom -- Lilou (fith element)

I am on iPhone 4s and I am also having this problem. I can only visit 3 or 4 people and then it crashes. I am at level 94 myself. Most of my neighbors are as well. I do have the new beta test/quest feature. This has been happening since the most recent update. ALSO...I have an old iphone that uses only wifi, so it's basically an ipod. I started a new account there and I've always been unable to visit anyone over level 30 or so. I'm now at level 22 myself and I can't do anything on my own island. I was trying to breed my Fire and Magic dragon but whenever I put them together to breed, they disappear. I tried this 5 times and they kept on disappearing. I have noticed they have also deducted 200 coins whenever I tried to breed them. So I'm out of 1000 coins and unable to breed.

Doesn't make me want to rush out and update my version. Come on TL, make A REAL EFFORT to fix the problems with the Android version of the app. Bring it up to par with iOS version of the app...stop being lame coders and concentrate on making things work before trying to make improvements for your iOS users. Another nbr of mine mentioned some of my dragons seemed to be walking around without habitats. She was using Valentines. Then she switched to regular and the prob disappeared. My dragons were locked back in their habitats, lol

I've been on holiday for a week. I came back, collected from my habitats, hatched eggs and placed eggs in nest. Then tried to look in the market to see what was new and it crashed. So no change there then!!!!

I am on ipod 4th generation with latest software. I don't visit neighbours (no time) so it is not other people causing my problem. It tends to crash if I am moving stuff around or checking the market after being in-game for more than 5 minutes. With this and the inability to get the black dragons, this game is becoming tedious rather than fun :(

The latest version is so much better, even though I am still experiencing force close while visiting some heavily decorated neighbors' islands. At least I can see my own island and my dragons, which is the most important imo. Hopefully, it doesn't start getting bad again. From one day to the other, anything can change :(

Info about Materialrequest, arrive days later. After reply to all requests, I've to restart the game. Now it shows, that Neighbors have Gifted to me. If I gift back, it always crash. The Giftmenu shows always all neighbors to me. I compared with monsterstory, where it works. There are only the neighbors visible, that didn't receive any gift already.

Well, forget what I said. Today all my purple and pink habitats were there with invisible dragons. Could only see the shadows of them. All the rest of the island was ok, including decorations.

Well.. Forget the above ..the less crashing was very short lived on my iPad first generation . Its back to the constant crashing on both dragon and castle . I have A hard time even getting to try to visit neighbors as it crashes on my own place immediately -again its when trying to plant , collect , breed, portal ,feed ..any action will cuase crash.. May have to try 20 + times to get any action completed . I'm also level 94.. No dragon outpost on mine ..I do have the booster breed which I love - would love even more if I could use the game more.

STILL crashing constantly. It has nothing to do with visiting neighbours ( I don't!) It has more to do with the length of time I spend in the game. This crashing all started with the last IOS dragon story update, which added the breeding boost to my island. I never had any problems before this. My worry is that it appears even more new dragons are being introduced, with a probability of more habitats. Yes, the HARD reset solved all my problems. No more crash or freeze. Make sure you hold both buttons until the apple logo appears.

Are you on Kindle? Most of the crashing was fixed for Android, but for kindle it is horid. On my kindle version I can't visit any of my iOS neighbors that have any of the beta test features like questing.

CORRECT! I hear from my android nbs the exact same story on same version of Android, though probably different hardware which means...DUN DUN DUUUNNNN....It's not a hardware/android issue...it's a TL issue.

I agree, it is stressful and each time it close without even a message as you say it is very frustrating. I always need hours to do my stuff when usually it only should take an hour. When I log in I am already nervous because I know that I will have to log in several times before I plant / collect / send back etc...

Sometimes, I can visit a neighbor, it lags but I can play with a few dragons and leave a message. The day after, only trying to load the island of that same neighbor will make the game force close.

Same here + when my tablet crashes then I have to wait until the battery is empty to log in again. Two choices : I never fill the battery and only play and use my tab with usb cable / I fill the battery and wait 24h to visit plant and all if it crashes... cool ! I m so happy with that !

I have downloaded the new Android version : Fairy Tales. Overall, it works well for me. The only thing is that this version doesn't like yellow flower beds, lol. Mine are ALL invisible.

I am on an Android phone ( LG Escape) and the last couple days especially it has been crashing a lot and always in the same manner. I will be in the middle of posting on a Community Members wall and it will give me a pop up that says Unfortunately Dragon Story has stopped or something like that. When I click "ok" it closes the game. Since it is a community member and not a neighbor that it crashes on I have no way to go back to the page to re-post or anything. This is becoming very frustrating and taking a bit of the fun out of the game. I'm getting a bit tired of having to restart the game over and over...

I was just at someone's Islands that looked really nice, someone who would have been a great neighbor but thanks to the crash I have lost that opportunity! I am disabled and ill right now and really don't need this frustration or stress. This is making me seriously think about dropping the game. My game crashes all the time. I can visit, if I'm lucky, three neighbors before it closes down. It's been doing in since two updates ago. I was hoping the last update would fix it, but it hasn't helped me. I play on iOS.

My game crashes a LOT since doing the most recent iOS update. I play on a first generation iPad & closing other apps or shutting my device down doesn't seem to help. It does seem a little better the last few days, or I'm just getting used to it. :-/

There seems to be a problem with memory management in the game. The more dragons or objects present on a given island the faster the game crashes. I can visit 3 or 4 neighbours that are low levels, but only one high level island before the app dies. Very annoying and unprofessional from TL. I play on Android tablet and have no problems with other graphics heavy games. DS works beautifully on my girlfriend's iPad.

you sound like you have the same situation as me. I even removed most of my decor but it made no difference. I am now tempted to put it back again as my Islands look so sad now. I guess I will just have to accept that unless I upgrade my ipod, my game will crash (and I cannot afford a new ipod, sadly)

I've done all that and my game keeps crashing/force closing. I can't even collect coins because I get stuck on the pop-up message for the July 4th Game Quest that I can't "x" out of. Anything to do with a pop-up (map sending, gold sending, messages from the game, market, planting, etc) force closes the game and boots me out. This is only a recent issue, well after the most recent update and has never happened (this badly) before. It's only been the past four days or so and like I said: I can't even get INTO the game now before it force closes. So, now what? Do I have to uninstall then re-install or is there something else?

done all that several times, and to be quite honest, I don't really see why this one game should require so much effort to play. These devices are designed to play multiple games on , not just one!!!!!!

sorry to hear ios peeps having the problem too! My GalaxyS3 has had this problem for months! So I started a thread asking which android device works best with this game. One person replied that she bought a GalaxyS4 and her problem was solved. So an expensive upgrade sounds like a solution :/ I'm broke...

After trying to tap on all islands or tapping on quest, craft, or other buildings game crashes. It usually takes 5-6 times to collect from all items. I have done all suggestions and use iPad 1. With the apple password thing, try logging out of the App Store then back in.

I feel your pain. This game crashes every 15 minutes... USUALLY! I haven't been able to even open the game in the last 24 hours. I send a report everytime it crashes, but they aren't doing anything about it. :mad: What is going on?

Two things have happened recently on my ipod - I deleted the game, then did a hard restart before reinstalling, and also stopped using the battle arena because I reached 99 pearls. I don't which of these has done it, but I no longer seem to be having as many crashing problems as before. Downloaded the new dragon story rainbow edition on my android tablet hoping that the crashing would cease, but my hope was completely destruct. Well i guess we have to wait for TL to work on this issue. The good thing is that we can always report the issue, and continue to re-open our favorite app.

'm so sorry to read your verbal frustration :(, and to understand the sincere frustration of a long wait that it takes for a response from TL's support team. However we have to consider that they receive multiple e-mails with so many problems, and situations that occur on a day-to-day basis. It's very hard that to work on everyone's errors. We must be diligent, patient, and continue to understand that they are doing the best they can to make everyone happy. Don't give up, have faith, and keep trying as they will to. TL wouldn't want you to believe that they don't care when they do.

Mine's actually improved a lot since the last time I posted, not really sure why, although I did delete 1 or 2 unused apps.

Ever since i updated my game (not to Rainbow edition or whatever) my game likes to randomly start crashing. It doesnt do it in a particular pattern, but it happens at the worst possible time, such as doind an rp with someone,or just chatting, or trying to whatever. It doesnt happen every time i play, but sometimes it crashes multiple times in one sitting. Can someone please help? Ive done the whole resetting,force closing, all that stuff, and it seems to crash less. But it still crashes.

Since I updated last DS original, when I open the game I often have a black screen with only the market or the coins number visible on the screen. android here, recent devices android 4.2
the game sometimes start about 30-60seconds later, if it starts. or I even have a blue then black then blue screen and I have to log out and log in again to stop this.
please fix it, it isnt a matter of old device either a matter of memory or else!

The DS on Android has very poor memory management. The more elements it has to load (dragons, decor, etc.) the faster it runs out of memory and dies. The might be other bugs causing crashes, but I'm sure the memory allocation problem is the primary reason.

I too have random crashing on my Kindle Fire HD 7". I did do the last update which helped, but still get some crashes. I did notice that some of the crashes happen after visiting a neighbor who is level 90+.

I am on iPad 1 and I have 3 or 4 neighbors that I always get kicked out of. Probably since the valentines version and now on the new updated regular version as well. Getting tired of restarting the game so often now!

2 months ago I was on my iPad 1 but it got deactivated....So I transfered my game data to my iPad Mini!
[Now I can't "hack" Gems on my other games :(] {TL games can't hack :P But who cares} Lol
