Summer Concept Contest!

Hi, everyone! In our previous concept contests, we've received a lot of talented ideas for concepts. Keep them coming! Create a concept for your favorite TeamLava (https://www.facebook.com/teamlava) games and have a chance to see your dream item in game!

We want to know what items you'd like to see for summer! Summer is a time for barbeques on the grill, splashing around at the pool, playing matches of volleyball, and making sandcastles.

The development process does take some time to complete, but we will aim for a turnaround of about two to three months. Show us your creative ideas for the months of June and July!

Additionally, we would like to emphasize that we are looking for great concepts. Even if your artistic s****s are not perfect, include a very detailed description of what you are submitting and it may still be selected.

If your concept is selected as a winner you will receive 100 Gems or Gold for the game of your choice (500 Gems or Gold if it's a newer game, e.g. Bubble Mania, Dragon Story, Castle Story, etc.)
Even if you don't win the contest, if the concept is used to create an item, you will receive the item when it is released.

I have an idea but it contains Black and I don't have a picture because my drawing Sucks!!! but, the dragon I'm thinking of is "Shadow Dragon," which is a hybrid of Black & Light. It can be like, half black/half white. Like a yin-yang sort of thing.
Speaking of yin-yang, you can also do hybrid of black & light, and the same way you did left & right heart dragon, you can do "yin" & "yang," and then you can have one which is a hybrid of them both, like passion dragon.

I did this with paint on my desktop so it's not my best design or drawing. If I had paper and pencil on hand I could have done more. The point is having a concept of the idea.
Dragonfly Dragon. When I think of summer I think of lakes and have grown up always seeing dragonflies but only during the summer.

Also in farm story how about being able to not only collect coins from your animals but also feed them too? Like for instance dog wants biscuits so you have to plant biscuits in order to feed it. I dont know im just throwing random ideas out here so sorry if this doesnt make any sense.

I enter again, with the Surf Dragon! A Blue/Purple hybrid.

Baby
A baby Surf Dragon will continuously walk over to bodies of water and attempt to stay standing while small ripples are created. It manages, but just. It will splash nearby dragons however, so keeping Fire Dragons away is a must.

Juvenile
When a dragon reaches this stage in its life, it begins finding shells and crafting them into a necklace. The necklace it first crafts becomes the one it wears for life, as it becomes imbued with magical properties. However, at this age, [name] seems more interested in attracting female dragon's with it.

Adult
Adult Surf Dragons surf the waves with little difficulty. The spikes on their feet help them to do so, but it's mainly because of the magic they wear around their neck. It considers surfing a way of life, they do it to keep their skin moist which is vital for these species.

Epic
Now [name] has reached the pinnacle of its power, it can literally walk on water. It now uses it's abilities less to impress other dragons, and too rescue those stranded at sea. But it still shows off every now and then.

As you can see my nail designed portrait is back, of course, TL can change the image of the nails...

This is a frame for fashion story, it has a sample picture of nails (you can change it if necessary).
Also, it is a wall decoration.

Here's my entry for Farm Story: "Ethnic Carabao"

Carabao - is a swamp type domestic water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) kept in the Philippines and Guam. Water buffaloes were probably introduced to the Philippines by Malay immigrants in the period 300 to 200 BC. The Malay word kerbau was modified in Filipino to carabao. The female is called caraballa.

Colors: Blue and yellow/red.
Rarity: Common w/ 13 hours

Baby: Baby Beach ball dragons were born to play and have fun in the sand. Passersby always give these young ones odd looks for the odd sand pails that sit atop of their heads.

Juvenile: Now that the first ****** has appeared ____NAME's____ belly, it's identity is more easily determined. The yellow ****** always appears first, then red and blue is the last.

Adult: The thick toes of the adult Beach Ball dragon help it traverse across sandy beaches with ease. It walks instead of flies because, although it's wingspan is large, the wings themselves are thin and unsupportive.

Epic: In it's epic form, everyone now knows why ____NAME____ had a sand pail on his head all of his life. With these dragons always playing with beach balls they quickly learned their horns would commonly snag and deflate the beach balls. So the best thing they could find were sand pails left abandoned on the beach to cover their two sharp horns.

Charcoal Dragon
Colors: Purple and red.
Rarity: Super rare w/ 27 hours

Baby: Newborn baby Charcoal dragons are quite nerve racking. At first you would think that the dragon is immediately sick with a fever, but a care-taker must know these dragons are born with a noticiably higher body temperature.

Juvenile: Charcoal dragons love the summertime. The climates are warm and they attend picnics and social events regularly. If you ever need extra coal for the grill a Charcoal dragon is always willing to give some up.

Adult: The charcoal fixed to the scales of ____NAME____ can easily be pried off for instant use. It can not only be used for barbeques but for art too. Numerous charcoal sketches have been sighted scrawled across rocks and logs on the dragon isles.

Epic: Now in epic form these dragons have quite the set of claws for attending heated charcoal and for keeping fires lit. The heat does not bother the dragon but the fire can still singe their scales, so the long thin claws do just the trick for tossing the coals and logs around. They can keep things burning for hours.

Baby: Baby Beach ball dragons were born to play and have fun in the sand. Passersby always give these young ones odd looks for the odd sand pails that sit atop of their heads.

Juvenile: Now that the first ****** has appeared ____NAME's____ belly, it's identity is more easily determined. The yellow ****** always appears first, then red and blue is the last.

Adult: The thick toes of the adult Beach Ball dragon help it traverse across sandy beaches with ease. It walks instead of flies because, although it's wingspan is large, the wings themselves are thin and unsupportive.

Epic: In it's epic form, everyone now knows why ____NAME____ had a sand pail on his head all of his life. With these dragons always playing with beach balls they quickly learned their horns would commonly snag and deflate the beach balls. So the best thing they could find were sand pails left abandoned on the beach to cover their two sharp horns.

Charcoal Dragon
Colors: Purple and red.
Rarity: Super rare w/ 27 hours

Baby: Newborn baby Charcoal dragons are quite nerve racking. At first you would think that the dragon is immediately sick with a fever, but a care-taker must know these dragons are born with a noticiably higher body temperature.

Juvenile: Charcoal dragons love the summertime. The climates are warm and they attend picnics and social events regularly. If you ever need extra coal for the grill a Charcoal dragon is always willing to give some up.

Adult: The charcoal fixed to the scales of ____NAME____ can easily be pried off for instant use. It can not only be used for barbeques but for art too. Numerous charcoal sketches have been sighted scrawled across rocks and logs on the dragon isles.

Epic: Now in epic form these dragons have quite the set of claws for attending heated charcoal and for keeping fires lit. The heat does not bother the dragon but the fire can still singe their scales, so the long thin claws do just the trick for tossing the coals and logs around. They can keep things burning for hours.

OMG you read my mind when I thought of fashion story summer outfits, I adore this! Instead of the hand bag though, I would love an anchor charm necklace with the first outfit. Grass/Turf Dragon. Green+Yellow

Takes the shape of the mistmoth/fairy dragon.
Leaf at the end of the tail gets larger as dragon evolves, Wings get larger as well. (No feet, although I did draw some)

Baby:
Baby Grass dragons are always searching through grass, inspecting each individual blade. If a dead blade is found, the careful dragon revives it with it's radiating liveliness.

Teen:
Teen Grass dragons begin to use their grassy wings to take flight. However, other dragons snicker at the Grass dragon's wings. The wings aren't fully developed yet, so instead of looking like sharp blades of grass, they look like droopy noodles. this is an awkward stage for the grass dragon.

Adult:
The Grass dragon's wings are starting to take form into sharper, more developed wings. Although they are not finished yet, other dragons admire the wings of the grass dragon.

Epic:
The Epic grass dragon floats over grass and they become purified and healthy from the dragons presence. The Epic Grass dragon nourishes the grass sat on by other dragons. Others keep their distance from this dragon's massive, sharp, and sparkling healthy wings.

Continuing what I did in Spring Contest (http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?45091-Spring-Concept-Contest!-WINNERS-ANNOUNCED/page10#97), I would like to bring new idea in fashion story counter. (The black box really looks boring to me. lol) So here is the overview of my entries which consists of a sea seal counter, 3 wallpaper and a wall decoration. Will show them individually below.

I have no idea whether it is feasible to have such a flexible counter. When the accessory item is jewelry/shoes/belts/bags/glasses, this item will be placed inside the glass globe. The glass globe can be changed to half opened if necessary. The size is 2x1 or 3x1.

When the counter is empty, the glass globe disappears with its sailor hat. At this moment, It looks like a nice decoration too.

Here's my entry for Dragon Story: i named it "IGOROT DRAGON" - the last ethnic dragon.
(Igorot - native tribe in the Philippines)

(Since, June 12 is the Philippines Independence day,so, i was inspired to make this:-)

Since, the skin color of Igorot are brown/dark brown, the hybrid color of this dragon was based on there chest, which they have since birth as a dragon.

Summer makes me think of the beach and sailing so I designed a Sailor (or Mariner) Dragon (blue/green hybrid)

As a baby, Sailor Dragons like to circle ships and will rest in the crow's nest when they get tired.

As adults, Sailor Dragons will follow ships and ensure that they always have favorable winds.

A baby Surf Dragon will continuously walk over to bodies of water and attempt to stay standing while small ripples are created. It manages, but just. It will splash nearby dragons however, so keeping Fire Dragons away is a must.

Juvenile
When a dragon reaches this stage in its life, it begins finding shells and crafting them into a necklace. The necklace it first crafts becomes the one it wears for life, as it becomes imbued with magical properties. However, at this age, [name] seems more interested in attracting female dragon's with it.

Adult
Adult Surf Dragons surf the waves with little difficulty. The spikes on their feet help them to do so, but it's mainly because of the magic they wear around their neck. It considers surfing a way of life, they do it to keep their skin moist which is vital for these species.

Epic
Now [name] has reached the pinnacle of its power, it can literally walk on water. It now uses it's abilities less to impress other dragons, and too rescue those stranded at sea. But it still shows off every now and then.

Softdrink dispenser will have around 3 - 4 recipes that will cook for 1 - 22 hours. Recipes include popular drinks such as coke (coca-cola, pepsi), soft drinks (sprite) and orange-flavoured soft drink (e.g. fanta).
Seaside oven will cook recipes which I have not decided yet.

I will submit decorations and recipes soon, hopefully after some of my exams are over.

Description: sea view window, sea door, beach tile, sea tile; sea view wallpaper (plain), sea view wallpaper (with dolphin), sea view wallpaper (plain, no beach sand), sea view wallpaper (with dolphin, no beach sand); sand tile (plain), sand tile with sea stars, sand tile with crab, sea tile with shells; straw/thatched wall clock, thatched table, thatched chair, thatched mini bar (goal prize maybe?); shell divider, thatched refreshment dispenser, thatched oven, thatched counter. I think that my drawings are pretty clear so I do not think any more explaining is necessary.

For dragon story I think that you should have an ice lolly dragon because everyone loves having ice lollys in the summer. It could be yellow with ice lolly I. Different colours instead of spikes and on it's head, it can have scoops of ice cream with sprinkles. You don't have to do the ice cream bit if you do puck me though. It's just an idea. I made 2 Dragons, one is a new one I made myself and the other is an edit of an Aether Dragon (though I did change the shape slightly).

The first Dragon I made is a pineapple dragon (the one which is the edit):

The Pineapple Dragon (commonly known as the Ananas Dragon), people may say he is similar to the fruitful Dragon but it doesn't bug him, he believes all dragons should unite in harmony and cuteness. He's really upbeat and outgoing, brave enough to bungi jump out of his habitat to seek some thrill. He enjoys long walks on the beach and licking Ice-Cream Dragons (but not too much because they're best friends) (okay, I'm not a writer so please excuse this... bad writing)

The Rainbow Sea Dragon is an energetic lovable dragon, he likes to hang around with water dragons even though he is not one himself (his magic allows him to live without water). His favourite activity is going to the beach and playing beach ball, his ball goes with him everywhere so he spends most of his time hopping on it. Though he also enjoys collecting shells in his spare time (if you can't see he has a shell on his stomach). He is attracted to bright colours , so there are times you will find him chasing his tail.

Okay, I know the descriptions are really bad. So please excuse them, and thanks for looking at my idea :)

So by the time summer rolls around, the baby sandcastle dragons are ready to come out and play! While older forms of this dragon seek to enhance their caretakers' beach-time fun, baby sandcastle dragons are energetic and mischievous. They mean well, but at times they may do more damage in the name of beautifying your island than good.

Teen: Teenage sandcastle dragons still know how to have fun, but spend most of their time catching waves and digging tunnels in the sand. Another favorite game of the teen sandcastle dragon is finding shiny objects on the beach, burying them, and sending their caretakers on treasure hunts. They can be a lot of fun--if you can keep up!

Adult: Adult form sandcastle dragons have matured to the point that their focus is on assisting their caretakers in beautifying the island. They are known not only for keeping their habitats in tip-top shape, but enhancing them by building beachy decor using whatever materials are at hand. With the help of an adult sandcastle dragon the look of a caretakers island may change daily--and usually for the better...

Epic: By the time they reach epic form sandcastle dragons have been sculpted to perfection and become as big and strong as castle walls. They tend to be of the opinion that they themselves are all the decoration your island needs, and spend their time prancing about proudly for visitors to admire. Like their younger versions, however, sandcastle dragons value order and decor and are imposing enough to keep messier dragons in line and out of trouble. They are a valuable and attractive addition to any summery island!

Yes. Sketchbook Express for Mac. It came with my Wacom Bamboo Splash Tablet, along with ArtRage. Unless you have Sketchbook Pro or anything else, I wouldn't recommend Express because it lacks MANY features.

Some description:
Black fire dragon was born from an experiment of a caretaker who want to make clones of Fire dragon by cloning, but it's turned out to Black fire dragon. A long time after that, some caretakers managed to breed this dragon with Night dragon and Fire dragon.

It has 4 wings, and 2 ears. He can produce black fire with his eye (just an eye can make black fire), some caretakers think that it's dangerous because the fire can't die out, so they close the eye which can produce black fire and don't allow visitors to feed this dragon. But actually, this is a good dragon, they never produce black fire except they're in danger and always protect their owner and friends.

Baby : Baby Hummingbird Dragons are very active. They keep flying around and is excited about everything around them. As they are born in summer, they cannot withstand cold temperatures.

Juvenile : Juvenile Hummingbird Dragons like sun-bathing. You can always find them resting comfortably under the sun. Dont interrupt them or else you will regret for ruining their summer mood.

Adult : Adult Hummingbird Dragons are very friendly. They bring happiness to everyone they meet. You can always feel their passion for summer.

Epic : Epic Hummingbird Dragons like to play at the beach and splash the water with their 'ponytail'. That is why they always have seashells, starfish on their 'ponytail' but many thought that those are accessories for them. When the summer ends and the temperature starts to drop, Hummingbird Dragons will migrate to warmer place. They will stay, however, only if you swear to take good care of them.

My design is for Bakery Story


The 1st picture is the sun flower theme chair. The plant at the back like the back of the normal chair but I use plant to replace it. On the seat, it shows the smile of the sun flower.
The 3rd picture is the sun flower table. It shows the look of the sun flower on the top of the table and there will be some lengthy glass to be the decoration around the table.
The 2nd picture is the counter that sells the different colorful flavor ice lollies. There will be some ballons decoration on the left and right hand side. People will feel cool after they eat the tasty ice lolly.
The 4th picture is the children are making a pretty sand castle on the beach with their tools, a scrab is passing by and the beach ball is near the sand castle.
The 5th picture is the sand castle only
The recipe will be 3 different flavor ice lollies. One is watermalon, one is lemon and one is grape
The apparance and the counter will shown the picture of sun flower.
I choose sun flower because it will match the summer.

Summer Kitchen

All hand drawn by me; everything. I used Sketchbook Express. The items can be totally played with, I don't even mind if you add a person in the kitchen or on the bar stool. Food can be changed if wanted, same with the flooring and wall color. I'm most proud of the pictures on the wall, the window, the cabinets, the bottles, and the oven. The overhead vent above the cooktop was the hardest to draw for some reason. This altogether took about 8-9 hours. (Uploaded as .png)

- sigh - I NEVER win anything, and I work so hard. It's heartbreaking for some when they work so much for something but never even get a compliment.
