Yes, for iOS, you will want to be on version 1.3.

Go to menu, then help. In the lower right corner, game version will be there (its really small).

I now have valentines and regular versions installed. Can I safely delete the valentines version without losing my progress? I'm unclear if our islands are stored on our devices or on the servers.

Everything is saved on TL servers. Delete away. Save that storage space.
