Which appliance to buy...

Why is there no description on each appliance to explain what they make/do? as seen on a very few of them in the design column there's an "I" on the bottom left of each so we can get a quick description of what they are and what they do etc. otherwise it's a guess what they do, and if there's any advantage of one over the others etc.
