Because the coding for Infinity is all weird and bugged and Team Lava are messing breeding up by adding a bunch of new features. Infinity is now much easier to get, but it can't breed anything, anymore. For a day or two, breeding Passion with Diamond was a guaranteed Infinity dragon. Team Lava are saying it was never intended to be a parent, but we all know it's because they screwed something up with the coding of the game with all these new features that they are adding and don't want to admit it.

Wait..breeding Night and Diamond together adds Water/Magic to the mix for this one? =/ I thought when Unicorn came out, the forgoed the splitting of Pink into Red/White, so failures would only be Virtue... That's gonna make this dragon hard to get.

How is it hard?? yes not everyone has a diamond dragon but it is something to look forward too once you get a diamond... It will come to you don't worry, I was level 70 when I got mine from genie and winter.

I think some players find it difficult due to fail times. Many have a hard time getting certain dragons. I can't get a Unicorn on my secondary game to save my life! LOL Not everyone has a streak of luck.

Now the unicorn is even more complicated, due to the pink breaking up. Ill never understand why dragons have to break up when paired with diamond. Like the hybrids isnt difficult enough to get.

Thats what a diamond usually does when breeding it with a single color. The small rare chance being the ultra we look for.

I tried Anubis and Night just to try a different diamond. I got all the same fails: coral, wizard, water, magic, mistmoth . But I also finally got a Mercury which was a nice one hour fail/surprise. I love him. He's adorable.

Im laughing my backside off because im in the same boat. I bought $60 worth of gold over a span of four days and have been hiding it from my fiancee. He started playing bakery and figured all of my decor couldnt possibly be from cooking food. Little does he know im waiting another bakery gem sale.

I promised myself I wouldnt get more gold here because all of those 20, 22 and 23 hour fails sucks your gold up in no time. Ive already used over 1000 gold. Like so many mentioned, we just could have bought the darn thing.

I find it funny though, how no one has tried to explain the reasons behind the split breeding. And this dragon being soooo special that its the same amount of hours as a parent. Its a slap to the face and crummy business.

Is not like a random 1-100 with 1-60 is common, with 61-90 is rare, with 91-97 is super rare and with 98-100 is ultra rare?

Not sure what you're meaning by this but that's not what I think. In fact, I don't even know how they determine the percentage of rarity a dragon is, I just go by what the Market says. When it comes to Diamonds, you have already slim chances of getting hybrids. Throw in a type that splits when bred, and as I stated earlier, makes it seem impossible.

The thing is I use gold daily, sometime I get a dragon out of the temple, sometimes if I know I won't be around I hurry up food. I speed up breedings after letting them sit awhile. Now because of this black beast I am not going to buy gold at least for awhile.

I am going to concentrate on clearing land and completing the Dawn goals. Maybe once I have them all completed TL will have relaxed the parameters for this dragon

Im laughing my backside off because im in the same boat. I bought $60 worth of gold over a span of four days and have been hiding it from my fiancee. He started playing bakery and figured all of my decor couldnt possibly be from cooking food. Little does he know im waiting another bakery gem sale.

I promised myself I wouldnt get more gold here because all of those 20, 22 and 23 hour fails sucks your gold up in no time. Ive already used over 1000 gold. Like so many mentioned, we just could have bought the darn thing.

I find it funny though, how no one has tried to explain the reasons behind the split breeding. And this dragon being soooo special that its the same amount of hours as a parent. Its a slap to the face and crummy business.

Lol my fianc? almost figured out that I was buying gold on Fashion Story the same way. He said I thought you couldn't get that kind of stuff without spending $$? I just casually changed the subject. I've done better than I thought. Haven't bought gold all weekend. Still no Angel but I just started breeding ANOTHER WIZARD. And still no closer to learning that black will stick together more often! I used Night and Anubis, but either combo "can" take quite a while and it might seem like you'll need a miracle to get it. I know I did. Took a looong time! Best of luck in getting DA!

i already was thinking about this. my answer is: no, i don't think so. although i just got mine with the basic combo diamond x night, lots of people habe confirmed getting the dark angel with other combos.
one of my neighbours told me they got it with goblin + gold! a few days ago somebody mentioned they got their dark angel with gold and night dragon in a few tries. so why not try another combo? :)

I had posted this question earlier on a different thread but I wanted to get some more opinions on it.. I am desperately trying to get the DA and I have been endlessly breeding Diamond and Night over and over, I wanted to know do you think that if you used a Diamond hybrid and Night such as Anubis/Mercury/Gold ect and Night would that decrease your chances of getting the DA compared to me just using the pure Diamond and Night together?? I'm just trying to figure out a different approach to get the DA bc the Diamond/Night just isn't doing it and I'm wasting too much real money speeding up all of these ridiculously high fails and I need to try something different, so what does everyone think???

I bred Night with Gold to get Bat and DA.. I got Bat now so I won't waste my time with the same combo to avoid another Bat or Yellow hybrids. If I had Mercury, then I would try to get DA & Deep at the same time. I think it does decrease the chances of getting DA because there are other dragons you can get but if I need a few dragons then it doesn't hurt to throw in the hybrids in the breeding den.

I think you have to try something different, I bred Diamond/Night every day for two weeks and didn't have DA. So I tried different combos with the Diamond hybrids and finally got DA breeding Gold and Goblin, but that was before Red/Yellow wave hit us :(

It's not black, but I got my Flower dragon using Virtue and Quetzal after 2-3 breedings. I wasn't getting anything with Diamond/Virtue, and figured adding the green element would give me a chance for Flower, Forestfire and 4 Leaf (still missing). I'll probably use Quetzal again with Night to try for Hunter. I think it's up to you, whether you're tired of breeding the same pair over and over again and want to try something new, or if you'd rather cut down on any additional fails with an extra element in the mix. Generally I find that I get missing dragons when I'm not specifically trying for them.

You also stated in another post you had 65 dragons. You have about 30 on this island. Do you have a second island? I'd love to see your da if you have one. You never actually said you did you just said you tried twice.

Finnalllyyy got this one... I'm gonna bragging and dancing all day long :D. This is the hardest dragon i ever get over 100 tries. Because of that i miss a lot of dragons including elf dragon :(. The great part i didn't consumed a lot of golds for sped up the breeding. Feel free to visit my island the egg is on the nest right now :).

Ive tried three more times for this. Im breaking up my breeding. Dark devil, helios, then mark, devil, easter, mask. Ive gotten four magics every time. Am i not good enough for a mercury or anubis fail? Jeez!

I have been trying since it came out, there were some breaks or Easter and other dragons.
Atm, I'm breeding Quetzel with Night. Crossing fingers to get DA or Hunter!

Yeah, everytime I saw 23 hours I thought DA?? Imagine having 4 Night back to back!!

Anyway best to use Diamond/Night for DA... adding another colour makes it harder, unless you're lucky. I tried Quetzal and didn't get Hunter or DA, just plenty of Island fails. Also, if the Night doesn't break down then you have a chance of Hunter, Night or DA... remove the green to increase the chance of it being DA.

I finally got this dragon!!! Put it on the nest last night :D I was so hesitant to try to speed up breeding as I didn't want it to be another night dragon. So I waited, and my jaw hit the floor when I saw the egg!

The really interesting thing about this, is I've been breeding diamond/night non-stop on this account for a few weeks...and on another account breeding night/light non-stop for almost the same amount of time. I got moon at virtually the exact same time, at least the same day, that I got DA. I find that very interesting.

nope, I saw the 23 hrs on it when I bred it and decided to wait til the bitter end as I didn't want to waste what little gold I have on a potential night fail. So I placed it on the nest once it was done (actually about an hour later as I was out on a date with my lady for her birthday :D)

I have been trying soooo hard since this darn dragon came out and I got NOTHING! I once again got another 23 hrs in my breeding den tho so I think as anxious as I am to look I might take your approach tonguelashing and wait it out the whole 23 hrs and pray a DA egg pops!
