Been trying exclusively for the DA since it came out,getting very bored with game

Same here... no dark angel (or unicorn, or helios for that matter) even the diamond temple hasn't helped.

Wish we had the quests and battle arena to occupy us and take our mind off all these fails :(

Dark Angel, Helios and Unicorn are arguably the hardest dragons in the game to get so don't worry about having trouble getting it.

For me, Helios was not a problem but DA, Unicorn and Mercury are my top 3 hardest

I finally switched from Diamond and Night to Unicorn and Illusion and after about twenty tries it showed up. I'm so very happy as this so far is my favorite dragon to date and I finally have it. Next I have to conquer Helios. :)

you don't know how much i'd like to give you my 3rd one. 2 dark angels were totally okay, but a third one is unnecessary and taking away too much space, since there are 3 pure night dragons :( also, i can't trade it... i could never ever trade an ultra rare dragon. except for crusader, lol :D

If only I could steal it from your nest, it's more exciting that way lol. I traded in an Anubis and Gold already, i'm trying to keep my extras to just 3. Hope you get your Night Elf soon, I need one too, but not as bad as I need DA. ^_^

I got DA the other day with onyx and diamond. For some reason lately, I've had good luck breeding when I am able to use a crafted gem dragon. Still took about 20 tries, but that beats the 200 before it!

Just got a DA with Onyx and Diamond. I think I would have been close to 300 goes going for this guy and just got it with this combo.

I'll probably speed it before I leave work in about 9 hours or so, will let you guys know the results although I'm pretty sure it's DA and not Night... if it's Night, someone has got to edit the calculator on it. :)

cause i've never ever heard of somebody who has gotten a night from night + x-element (except diamond or night itself) yet. also, nobody has ever gotten a virtue from virtue + x-element (except diamond or virtue itself).

and since i tried for prism with angel x stone about 30 times and none of them resulted into a stone... things are getting pretty obvious xD and the 23hours breeding time i had with unicorn x illusion a few weeks before also turned out to be DA :)

Virtue x justic can get you virtue because A justice has a red in it and a white. So does virtue. They both combine and boom! Virtue. (Remember the color splitting rules?)

Well, they're both pink so virtue is a basic fail for it.

Virtue x life
The red in life combines with the light from virtue.

So there you have it. That's how you got mr.virtue

actually dark angel is the only diamond hybrid i think where it's much easier to use another element added. sooooo many people recently got dark angel with combos like:

quetzal x night
gold x night
mercury x night
unicorn x illusion (i got one out of that combo, lol)
anubis x lotus (got my 3rd DA with that combo)

so my advice is: try for another black hybrid with a diamond element hidden in it and you'll get DA in no time :D

And btw just a helpful hint for everyone who bought the diamond temple so did I, and I got absolutely NOTHING, but I took a neighbors advice and enchanted for a second time bc he said first time he got nothing and every time after that he's got TONS of diamond hybrids, and so I enchanted it and this is going on day 3 and I got Gold dragon trying for Helios, two Mercury dragons going for DA and finally the reason I tried this the DA! So since enchanting the diamond temple I have gotten 4 diamond hybrids in two and a half days, 3 the first night!!!

Once you purchase the diamond temple it gives you 6x the chance of breeding diamond type dragons but it only lasts for 7 days.... Once those 7 days are up you have nothing more than a nice looking decoration, but at any time you can for the ridiculous price of 300 gold "enchant" the diamond temple which once again makes it active for 7 days.. Like I said in my previous post initial purchase of the temple yielded not one diamond type dragon, but since enchanting or activating it for the second go around I have had EXTREMELY successful results

It's a ripoff bc it costs 300 gold and that IS a lot but I wouldn't lie I've had it for 3 days and gotten 4 diamond hybrids 3 I already had one I have been attempting to get since its release, so as far as it increasing ur chances I'm telling u it DOES, I have a feeling tho it only starts to work after the first initial time u use it bc both me and my neighbor got none the first time but that changed dramatically the second, believe me or not I was just trying to help everyone out with sharing my experience

There is only two islands that have that many? Lol shows how much you know, I guess I have unique neighbours. There are plenty of islands that have a lot more than 30! Also Helios and Unicorns, my neighbour has 96 Unicorns and is going for 100 and I'm sure he will reach his goal pretty soon, without diamond cave. :)

Also, let me make it clear that I wasn't accusing anyone, I was talking about my own game. I have more than 20 DA but I just said like 20 because I bred the rest.

But that is normal, the diamond hybrids are hard to get but the ones that split are even harder! Getting a lot of Wizard, Night, Coral, Mistmoth, Water, Aether are normal.. Except for Mistmoth because that has been removed now :p

on my main account i counted at least 100 tries -_- this time there were about 10 tries needed.

Got it, finally, with Queztal and Night Elf. First try with that combo. I didn't have any green/black hybrids, and I had just failed at getting summer, so I threw those two in on a whim and about passed out when I saw the egg. I was sure it was another loathsome Night fail. Finally got my favorite dragon.

Still need Unicorn, Helios and Prism to complete my diamond collection.

Equinox has too many other fails, better stick to basic Black/Diamond in my opinion. Although I did get my first from Quetzal/Night seeing previous successful posts having tried Night-Lotus/Diamond so many times without luck and having no Anubis nor Mercury fails either. Then got another as a fail using Unicorn/Illusion, everyone's game and luck differ, good luck on your DA quest. :)

I would recommend using illusion, as it takes out all single fails e.g. water from the breeding pool. It also removes any uncertainty from the 23 hours breeding time, as night is removed from the breeding results. However, I've had no luck breeding this one either. :(

I do, yeah I saw your post before, that was why I tried that combo with no luck, I think I didnt try anubis x night, I will give it a try hope I get this one !

I've been trying for Dark Angel for a week or so, now I've put it on hold since I've so many useless Lv3 dragons (dragons that were fails and I already have) waiting to evolve so that I can trade them into gems.

No luck so far, but it seems like what most of the people here have said, while you can avoid using Diamond and Night to avoid getting regular water and magic, even with other combos it's not easy to get Dark Angel, you would end up with other combos like the various Water and Magic hybrid dragons that I've been getting.

Not sure if anyone have better combos, but so far I am having no luck on this dragon.

yup! gold x mythic or crusader x mythic :) both combos can only give you:

lunar horse - 8 hrs
honeybee - 10 hrs
firestorm - 12 hrs
helios - 12 hrs
scorpion - 13 hrs
clockwork - 13 hrs
eagle - 14 hrs
crusader - 44 hrs
gold - 44 hrs

I've been busy as well, hence why I was never on the forum much, anyways, my breeding combo probably won't do you any good as it was simply Night and Diamond.

So yes, like you said, my luck has been pretty good with Diamonds, as pretty much every single one I bred was using Diamond and the other single colored dragon.

It's all about luck really, the breeding results seems very random, and I've seen a lot of people getting Diamond dragons using a large number of different combos so it's hard to say which is the best one

I bred 2 Dark Angels in less than 48 hours using Prime Eternal and Magic for one combo and Prime Eternal and Peacock for the other combo. I tried for so long to breed this dragon and now I have two. Now all I need is Black Diamond and my Diamond dragon collection will be complete...that is until another Diamond hybrid comes along.

I was successful using Quetzal & Pot of Gold to get Anubis and Dark Angel. Took over a solid month to get them.
