Newbie question about stacking

My question is: how do you do it? I've seen people in this forum talk about how they have thousands of a particular recipe or drink stacked on a counter, but I haven't figured out how it works yet. Whenever I make two of the same item, when I touch 'serve', they'll both be served on different countertops.

Also, is there a reason that the menu items default to mocha counters before granite counters? It's just something I've noticed!

Your recipes will always go to an empty counter. To stack food, you need to only have enough counters for each type of food you have. If you have 3 counters each with brownies on, then you serve chocolate cake, the brownies will stack onto one counter and the chocolate cake would get a clear one. It would also leave you with a clear one (just with the example used). You can store unused counters and get them out when needed. I'm not sure if you know this bit but don't store a counter that has food on, the food will just be lost. It won't be stacked this way.
