the register will still work as long as you have another door near it for customers to enter your bakery. You can just put a decoration behind it like the candy princess or the hula girl. Or even a plant, whatever you want to.

I have two doors in my bakery and two registers, both registers receive customers even though one is manned by a ghost :)

Yep, don't worry about it. You can only have one worker, but the second cash register will still function.

I turn my extra registers around so the customers walk up to the cashier side. I just consider it a self service bakery.

The second register is just a decoration. The exception, is if you have your bakery split into two separate bakeries with two doors , then customers on each side will go to the register you have set up.
You do not make any more money or have more sales.
