Is there a way to delete a request once it is sent? I have sent several requests that were not responded to and get tired of seeing the invites just sitting there

you just wait till person that you've sent for him an invite .. You can't dismiss a request if you invited someone .. Or visit him and tell him to decline or WAIT.

And if someone sent for you invite and you don't need just press decline..
