I was going to breed my honeybee dragon and Atlantis.. And I saw the option to breed and then another option for a boosted breed.. Obviously I would assume that the boosted breed gives a higher chance of breeding the rares and super rares and whatever. But like I said.. I'm only assuming. Can someone direct me to the post that fully explains this option please?

If thats not a glitch, im thinking of quitting because it seems that theyre making fun of me.

Sweet, I just tried this twice (mine costs 100,000 coins thank goodness!) After being disappointed with the 6-7 fruitfuls I've bred since the new dragon came out, my first boosted breed was four-leaf & second was another 5-hour breed time.

Yeah I think that's excessive apples they want.... Especially with the increased in food for dragons

No, down to approximately 28000 for the time being, could be it asks for something we are low on - but that still doesn't explain the gold cost others are seeing.

the boosted breed results in a better chance at getting a rare, super rare, or ultra rare. it doesn't shorten the breed time. what does it matter HOW the costs are assigned? the fact is that everyone seems to have different costs and it's obvious that 100,000 coins is not much of a price to pay compared to 50 gold. gold can only be earned by buying it with real money or by receiving it from neighbors over time. you can't even receive 50 gold in one day. but 100,000 coins can be easily earned. so no i don't think it's early to be upset when the boosted breed is already in play.

Boosted information WAS given out, along with Dragon Quests (send your dragon on a quest and get rewards), Dragon Stables (dragon storage once you hit... from memory level 7? :/) and Boosted Breed in the in-game FAQ, obviously by accident because it was later removed by TL. All these features were described as iOS only. From memory, it increases your chance of obtaining rares but it does not guarantee you will obtain a rare.
This looks like one of the 10% beta tests - I don't have boosted breeding but got a spinning wheel where I can win prizes instead - fun things tl are trialling!

I have the 100k coin boosted breed. Urk, it's not good for me if boosted breeding is charged that high for everyone else, I'm probably going to use a large amount of gold so I can use as much boosted breed as possible before it's removed... *is trying to get an angel dragon*

Me too, I think the people who didn't get these should get something.... a second breeding den would be nice, it won't make up for us not getting boosted breeding or wheel spin but it's a start.

Did it again and got an Eagle. I don't know if this is a feature I'm going to use.
Alright I did it a third time and I'm getting either a Trickster or Familiar. I'm out of gold so that's all I'll know tonight.

I didn't have the boosted breed, or the wheel. I did the update, and now I have the boosted breed. I really dig the idea (increased odds of a rare result). I got the gold version. At this point in the game, I would have much preferred a coin version, so I'll be interested to see just how much 10 gold increase my odds of a rare result. It could be worth it, or not, depending on how big the "boost" effect is. Apples would be hard to part with because I can't keep up with my new dragons' appetite, so I'm glad I'm not seeing that version. lol

Mine was 50000 apples also . I used a forest and an air and got another stinking fruitful!!!! What a RIP OFF!!!! That's all I've gotten in 6 tries. I won't be using it again. I bet That's why they aren't posting posting any info on it, it's a scam.

I think they must be testing to see what people are willing to spend. I have two accounts and was offered boosted breeding for 10 gold on one and 50 gold on the other. No way I would pay 50, what a rip off! I am also going to be really mad if it is even harder to get rare, super rare, etc. from the regular 200 coin breeding but I can see this happening to try and get people to use gold.

I have tried many combinations of dragons and I always have ten gold to boost. I never had a choice of using coins.
I had to be a knob and try out the option. I should have went ahead and used diamond and elf since ive been getting nothing but fruitfuls. I used unicorn and virtue and got 15 hours. Looks like another cool feature. Now I have this on my main account and not the wheel. But the wheel is on the other one.
This is a total rip. I just paid 10 gold to get a Fire from Diamond and Virtue.
Its always an option. I think maybe it betters your percentage at some dragons?

On my iPad I got the 100,000 coin option, tried emerald & topaz twice & got 2 four leafs. Yay!
Tried black & red & got a wizard... not so 'yay!' but at least it only cost me coins.
On my phone I now have the option (it wasn't there earlier today) but it is for 50 gold. NO Thanks.
I'll use the feature for 100,000 coins, & often, but definitely not for gold.
I cant complain. I got my second tiny. Girlfriend will take out her pacifier and make me some money!

I got the 100,000 boost and tried 3 times, with night/fairy got island, island, bat, then tried once with emerald/topaz and got 10 hrs, I also have the wheel and did the spin and received one gold, it had 21 days on the face of the wheel and a count down timer when u click on it starting at 21 hrs for my next spin. That was about 5 hrs ago it is now showing 4 days but the count down hrs seem to be correct so looks like I loss 17 days, lol. It also has the option to speed up the spin for 10 gold, I'm not going to try that.

Got it today for 10 gold. Seriously thinking about quitting this game. I mean I've bought gold often, but it seems that the only issue of this is TL that have stopped to give me gold sales and price all for me more than for other players. I understand that they want more of my money but I feel as if they see me not as a customer but as a money cave. (Hope I've been able to explain myself english is not my mother language, sorry)

Don't bother with this. It's just a cash pool for TL. It seems like they're testing out who would use the boosted breeding by making different amounts (food,gold,coins) Also people have already said they got commons even with this boost, so why bother. I tried it out for 10,000 apples and that's the last time I'll use it until they make up their minds and be reasonable with the price. Wouldn't coins be the most reasonable price being that the normal breeding is 200 coins? Why make the price so steep for such a low increase rate?
At least let your customers know what is going on. Where's the customer appreciation? Does TL just want to make money without providing a game people can enjoy? On the surface the game looks cute and fun, but by the way TL is releasing updates it seems as if they want to see how else they can milk us. I'm not ranting, these are questions I would actually like to know.

I work hard to be a honor student at my university, I have a job (part-time, but still) and I also do some research projects and working out really hard so my life is pretty intensive. So I want this game to give me pleasure. But if it only gives me frustration, why should I pay money for it? I get enough stress from other activities. Maybe other people feel the same to - why spend your time and money for a game that treats you like an idiot? Is that a good business strategy?

Yeah, my money is needed for expanding. As good as it was to get two tiny dragons I cannot spend 100,000 to get something I can breed myself. Think this will work best for new players or those who still have those dragons they cant get on their own. Its a cool idea but not worth it to me.

I have been trying for a Bubble for ages, but kept getting 12 hr heart dragons or Winters. so I decided to try the 10.000 apple boost eventhough I really need my food. Guess what: another 12 hrs. Another feature that costs you a lot and is totally random in its rewards...

Ok, saw your thread, thought id update and see what happens. 500,000 coins "boosted" my breeding athlete and parakeet in search of elusive diamond....all i got is glowing breeding den and a 12 hr breed.... Im on ipad btw....wont be wasting my coins again, ive tried for 4 leaf using air and fairy, success 5 out of 9 tries, Also got two goblins pretty easy and quite a few of the super rare...

I used the boosted breeding option and it cost me 500,000 coins. We should try and see why everyone is being offered different options....my opinion it depends on what we have that is in excess.
So if you will please add the following when posting what option you are given.
1) amount of coins
2) amount of food
3) amount of gold
Mine was

3) 0 gold

Well....You reply as "it is always 50 gold for me" could be the cause of why youre only being offered that option if you have a excessive amount of gold. None of my accounts have the gold option....and surprise surprise.....none of them have any gold. One does offer the food option but it has around 100,000 food.

It may come differently to differently players based on a number of random instances that Team Lava will eventually reveal. I want the 100,000 coins personally. That would be the less time consuming, more abundant option of all the options. 10,000 food takes a lot longer than some may believe to grow and the gold is asking too much. My theory though, is the better the offering the better the results perhaps?

That means they are using the den boost. Mine did that the one time I did it. You won't see it doing that again. Coral is not worth 40,000 apples.

Nope. The boost is the same each time. I breed for goblin got coral using apples. The next time I went to breed it still was 40000 to boost. Needless to say I passed on this.

It asked me for 40,000 (or was it 50,000?) apples.
How do I get it to change the cost? The most apples I've ever had was 17,000, and that took me 2 weeks to get. I only even had 2k apples on me when the option appeared... I'm too low level to be able to afford something like 40,000 apples...

It might. You were level 94 way before me. Without levels increasing past 94, the day started may have a bigger impact. The earlier you started playing, the better the boost. You are coins, I'm apples, someone who started after me might be more apples or coins or even gold.

Yes. But that wouldn't be a good thing to count on. If that's true you would either have to wait a long time for coin boosts or it may never happen

I was hoping boosted breed would give you a better chance at a dragon you DON'T have, but no... I bred a Night Dragon with Atlantis, hoping to get a Hunter, Deep or Mermaid (I don't have a Mermaid yet), and got 16 hours... So either Serpent or Aether (have both).

I started playing sometime in march or april of last year. Its random i believe. Because my low level account got the wheel and my 94 one got the boosts.

No dragon is worth my spending food on. After feeding my sweet lightning dragon to go off to level 7, I have around 25,000 servings. Im trying to plant as much as I can to stock up.

Yeah, I tried it just to see if I'd get a dragon I didn't have, but no... With the high feeding costs now, I can't afford to spend 10k apples when I have dragons to feed... They didn't. When I used the boost i got a common coral. Since then, without using the boost, i got rose, deep and either aether or charm. I have been having better luck without it, although I only used it once.
I have noticed that, the time I used it, it was 40000 apples, now its 50000 apples. No way am I using 50000 without a guarantee it will increase my odds.

Hmm interesting. So far July/august seems to be getting the 100k coins. Any other players out there that can disproove this?

They've definitely lowered the breeding chances of normal breed. I have bred many quetzals within twenty minutes and now it's taking me over 45 minutes and I still haven't bred an egg!

Since updating and finding the boosted breeding option I haven't gotten anything except common dragons through regular breeding! I seriously think they have lowered the chances of getting rare dragons to try and push us to the boosted breeding option! I was already mad that apparently my infinity dragon is no longer breedable and now this!
I'm lv. 94, 4 star daily player & have almost 80 dragons & occasionally buy gold But if TL keeps this up I won't be playing much longer. This is no way to treat loyal players & customers!

I'm beginning to wonder if the amount of apples/gold it asks for depends on what you pick to breed with? I'm sure it doesn't....

Just bred my water and magic for the 100th time.... My boost was 10 gold! Did NOT use the boost and finally got my NIGHT!!! YAY!!!

My game prompts for 10 gold for Boosted Breed. I have been trying an Air + Night and getting everything but Bat. So I decided to give the Boosted a try............ and I get the Coral. Yah, that really helps and makes it so worth boosting.... not.

Everyone who does this needs to start posting their level and when they starting playing. It may be different for everyone because of this.
I'm lvl 94 and starting playing 10 months ago or at least somewhere around that time.

Yes, but everyone it seems had 21 days yesterday. Now they have 4 days. So don't be suprised if it goes down to 4 days today or tomorrow.

I started playing on my iPad in early July & my breeding boost is 100,000 coin. (Yay!)
Started playing on my iPhone in mid to late October, boosted breed costs 50 gold. (big thumbs down for this one.)

Since I downloaded the updated version on my ipad my album is gone. I got the breeding boost for 100,000 coins but since i am only level 13 and only have 50,000 coins, i wont be trying it. Did anyone else lose their album? my daughter still has hers. The album icon disappeared from the bottom righthand corner and if i click in menu, where it said album, now it says coming soon? I emailed teamlava but the response I received made no sense. I was told that they are not able to revert changes back to a previous state.
Whatever that means....

I don't think so, well not without contacting support. I had a vague idea as I knew it was before Halloween. TBH I actually think it may have been late August as I was playing RS & BS during the Olympics time.... but who knows : /
They should have a start date of the game in our profile!

Honestly I would rather pay 10 gold then 10000 food. :/ Please TL, change everyone to 100000 coins, or at least give us the option of choosing what we want to pay, coins food or gold.
