Coin loss ?

Last night I looked at my coin bal. and noticed that it dropped. I took a screen pic I was down 1,000 or so coins did not by anything I collected from buildings brought it up a little when I opened the app this morning I was 20,000 less then the pic I took last night. Does anyone know if the goals take coins from you in the background I have not bought anything I am at a loss.

Some of the goals take coins to complete but usually you press a button to pay it. Did you plant any crops and not think of it? Or craft anything that also cost coins? I know that when I plant crops or craft things I don't usually check if I'm paying coins if all the requirements are checked off.
