Lost Pink Furs

I had 12 pink furs when I received a market request for Hides. Since it looked like cow hides, I clicked to send them to market. Now I've noticed my pink furs are gone. Did they go with the hides? If not, where did they go? How can I avoid this as they are hard to come by and I need pink furs for 2 different quests.

Did you load any furs on the love caravan? If so they get taken away from your other goal.

I am supposed to collect 12 pink furs for a quest. But thus far I got only 1 (the first one when the quest showed up). The skunks appearing are still blue ones. Anything special I have to do first for the pink-furred skunks to show up? It's been more three weeks now.

To get the pink ones you need to collect from valentine plants, valentine animals or love spires

No. I did not load them into the caravan. I wanted to complete the Pink Pelts first. I check in the caravan and they are not there either. This morning 6 of my fancy beams are no longer in my inventory. There must be a thief roaming the castle grounds.
