problems with gifting

Hi, ever since I installed Valentine version I have problems with gifting gold. When I enter my neighbor section and try to gift everyone at once I always get error message saying I already gifted today which is not true. When I try gifting individual players by visiting their island and pressing 'gift' icon it works for 2-3 people and then with next neighbor the icon disappears and I can't gift anymore. What can cause this? I play on android.
