Which version of DS should I be playing?

Hi,

I'm new to DS and see there are 3 versions of the game available (Normal, New Dawn, Valentines).

I have all 3 installed and currently play using the Valentine's Day version because I can't zoom out on the 'Normal' version, and I think it looks better than the New Dawn version. I'm playing on Android (if this makes any difference).

Which version should I be playing (or doesn't it make a difference)? Are the 'boost' buildings still available via the quests anymore?

Before Valentine's was released, the most recent for iOS was the original and the most recent for Android was New Dawn. I don't know how Vday edition has changed that.
