Checked out all the releases of new colours. It seems that when the virtue dragon came out, Teamlava first advertised the justice dragon, instead of the single colour. My hypothesis is that this is a Black-Air hybrid, and they have not advertised the single black element yet.

A lot of people have, including myself. But I don't think this one is it. I would love to be proven wrong though :-)

However, being on Android, it it *is* a new element, that means I'll have to wait unless TL manages to release to release an update for both platforms at the same time (not to mention our poor kindle cousins still waiting even longer for their update).

Actually you were right the first time. Anyway, I don't think so either. They have just released two new elements, pink and passion. I would be very surprized if another new element came out Thursday. I for one hope not. I would like a chance to get pink hybrids and any passion ones that may come along.

This probably isn't the main black dragon. It's probably a hybrid like someone said earlier. They did the same thing for the pink element by sneak peaking the justice dragon

How exciting! Black sands... There are white sands in Monster Story.
They used the templatebfor scorpion/poison on this one. Pretty cool. I am kind of hoping this one is a hybrid (dark/air).

No, it's been confirmed by TL that this is a new type dragon (Black) and will have Black Sands habitats... Look through the thread you will see many links to the blog about it.

Well, with a new dark element I think there will HAVE to be a new version, but I'd like to see it called, "Dragon Story: Nightfall" or, perhaps, "Dragon Story: Darkness Falls" They could do some really interesting things with the island & the sky can have moon(s) & stars, maybe a bit of a milky-way effect in the sky! There's a chance the Night dragon is just a dark hybrid, you know. I would expect TL to make an original design for the pure dark dragon, or at least use a MS model.

Do you have any idea how much work it is to come up with a completely NEW looking dragon EVERY WEEK? It's hard, even for the most creative of people. Sometimes, you just have to do slight tweaks to existing animations to keep things fresh while you work on new artwork. Ever notice on MANY animated TV shows and movies how much artwork is just reused? The same background over and over again while running down the street?

The TL creative staff do a pretty good job of getting out new dragons every week. Sometimes, you need a creative break to think of something new. Don't fault them.

Indeed.... I was so excited about getting an update of any sort ....it must be discouraging for TL to catch so much [] about colors....example the valentines ed. I loved it! Others were rude about how they thought it was horrible....its seasonal not permanent! Just be happy we got an update!! I would rather get similar dragons than no dragons.....or an "ugly" update vs. No update...I would also love to have time not spent on new dragons and time spent on catching up android and kindle....but dang nabit I am just happy they give us something....yes ms and ds are similar but ms is a lot farther behind than ds.....

Well my post was in no way critisism of TL or android/kindel problems so i don't get way you quote me? I'm just so super excided that at last the darkages are coming so i try not to get over excided so i won,t be disapointed.

TL have been releasing so much in the last months so surly they can't have had the time to do this a big big update ;)

Well hopefully the time they spent on the little updates and this big one is a good reason android isnt caught up....dont want to get my hopes up but maube they will surprise android by finally getting dawn goals loaded ....I mean haw can we get dark goals and never get light goals... doesnt seem balanced ...one without the other....and tl did surprise android by releasing Pink with our vday version! Maybe they will get new dawn boosts and goas in place with the launch of dark edition.....then we will only be missing trading/crafting/album....hey I can dream right!!

I'm trying very hard not to get my expectations up to high, TL have been releasing so much in the last months so surly they can't have had the time to do this a big big update ;)

But, i keep seeing befor me going through my neither portal or in to my mountain were a hole new world opens up, new cool habiats and a moon and shadows and beautifull dark dragons. I know, don't get your hopes up, you just get disapointed ... But just can't help it. This is sooooooooo exciting, please be thursday soooooooon......

Dragon is their new bread and butter it seems. With the most players and money spent on gold. They have been consistent with releases, even if it wasnt for android and kindle. If we are getting a new color i can expect that we will get a rare hybrid for the original colors. Fire, air, forest, water and magic. What ive been daydreaming about is the black/diamond hybrid! It will be a sight to behold I bet.

You and me both. The Pink Dragons 'feature' was a surprise in the V-Day edition. Wasn't expecting that but very happy about it. I hope we can get this big surprise (plus boosts and dragon album) in this update too.

Yeah I normally get the updates at the game reset at 8am UK time, which already happened today, so one can only assume there's some technically issues with it, maybe in the app store end, and we're getting a new game altogether.

They usually always release it at 2:00 EST for me at least, I'm at work and I always take my lunch break at 1:30 rather than 1:00 so I get the update halfway through my lunch break, so unless there is an unforeseen delay the update should be coming in approx 1 hour and 1 min.

Ok so, amazed the night dragon is out! love it. and along its new buddies; goblin and hunter which look nothing but similar to familiar with life = hunter. and the one we "love" the most! magic! but on different colors pretty much ;/. now. yes I'm also c/o the high price to be paid for a big black sands habitat! o.m.g. no joke! this game is really getting out of hand greedily, along with the topaz dragon contest which to mention 50,000 apples to level up ONE level was just ridiculous! I mean, if its going to be this way at least a little more of creativity and imagination would be extremely appreciate it.

NO increase was observed. It is the only disappointment on this update -- yes, I do look forward they will increase habitat cap when releasing black dragon -- but the dragons look so wonderful :)
