in some dishes like french toast I can't understand how many more cooking I must complete to complete the level 4..how do I check that coz I forget that whether I get my 2nd gem or not?

When you're looking at the recipe there is a progress bar at the top. Next to the progress bar is a number. That's the number you're working towards. It doesn't tell you how many more time you need to cook. Just gives an indication of how close you are.
