Sometimes, tapping rapidly can have unintended results. I was trying to clear some tips from tables so I was tapping fast because you always need 2 taps per table. By accident I hit the arrows for expansion and apparently spent 20 gems on expanding. I didn't mean to do that. There should be a confirmation screen somewhere. If it were coins that I spent by accident, I wouldn't care as much because I have an easy way to get them back. But gems, you almost have to purchase them to get a decent amount.
