Visiting Non-Neighbors?

Is there a way to 'visit' restaurants who are not neighbors and not in the 'neighborhood' thread? I have the stormID and wanted to check them out.

I don't think so, at least not without inviting them. If you invite a neighbor using his/her S8ID, then that neighbor will be listed under pending invites. You can visit restaurants that you've invited to be your neighbors.
