Sorry about this, but I'm still confused

If I put buildings in the storage cellar, do they still continue to make me money? If so, do they collect automatically, or will a coin or bag icon appear over storage cellar?

I've checked other posts, but I'm still somewhat confused on it.

Buildings do not collect income while in storage. Buildings have to be placed on your map to generate income, and you can only collect by expending energy to tap on buildings that are ready to give you coins.
