In the inventory, technically we can store up to 99 of everything, but there is a cap on how many royal buildings, town buildings, and walls one can keep in the inventory and out in the kingdom. Now that we get to upgrade buildings, we are investing a lot of energy, time, and materials into buildings. I would hate to sell off lv5 buildings in the future due to number restrictions.
For the Valentines Edition, I had to sell off many walls and one of the royal buildings to get the Valentines goal met and that was unpleasant, because I like to collect things (yes, I am a hoarder).
Lets say there will be other holiday editions like Halloweens, Christmas, Thanksgiving and so on, which would be a cool thing.. We would have to sell upgraded buildings to meet new goals and to keep some of the holiday items for collection. We don't have enough building allowances to keep all buildings!!!
When we store royal items in the storage, royal point gets reduced, so letting us store buildings to a max number wouldn't interfere with the game play at all.
For walls, I want to be able to store up to 99 for each of different kinds, so that I can sometimes change the decoration without having to sell off my inventory and buying and/or building new walls, towers, and gates (those cost energy, time, and materials, not to mention gems for some of us).
