Gems for pet story

Hi all, could any one please tell me how to earn gems in pet story game. I bought a pet using gems, but could not afford to find him a mate because i dont have enough gems to buy. Helped out on my visit. Is so so lonely, want him to have a family too. Please helppp. Thank you.

complete the goals that reward gems, download andplay other games when an ad appears, or buy.. no other way in pet shop
