How long does it take for finished food to expire on an appliance?

Tried to find a thread that addressed this, but could not.
Is there a fixed time that finished food will turn bad/expire, or do the expiration times vary based upon the food type, hours to cook, etc.?

Anyone have any insight into this? Thanks!

yes. so if a dish takes 2hrs to cook, u generally have another 2hrs after it is finished before it expires. same thing with a 12hr dish...u will have 12 more hrs after it is finished before it goes bad etc etc. hope that helps :-)

And with recipes under 1/2 hour maybe 15 min recipe will be good for more than 15 mins I think. That goes with with 1 min recipe too.
