Expanding, please help!!!

I'm trying to get to the archway down in the corner and the tower up in the corner, but I have no more expanding options, can somebody please help?

There wasn't a land expansion with this update. If you go to the expand tab and click it it will show all areas available to expand to. If you have no further areas shown by a dotted line then you've expanded as far as you can for now. Hopefully we will be allowed to visit those other areas in a future update.

There is also a cage below the archway. Does anyone know what they do or when they will be avalible?
