Best expansions for your silver...

Ok so between a friend and myself, we have noticed that the expansions are the same items to clear across all users.

Sadly... there's no guides out there that explain what each space has hidden upon expanding there!

Basically, I am trying to get as few 800k trees as possible, and get straight to the cheaper spots (under 400k to clear everything)

So I would like to ask the communities help in creating an expansion map!
I haven't finished the image for it yet, but you can see the method used to identify each space! If you would like contribute, please list:

Island Name (as displayed on the pre-made map):
Row (starts at bottom as "1", cound ends at top)
Column (starts at left side as "a", ends on right side):
price to clear (actual or estimate if you can remember close enough):
Actual price, or estimate?: Actual / Estimate

That's actually really helpful. Be interesting to see it filled out. I don't remember every spot I've cleared but I can fill in things I still need to clear.

So we can say, the top left island is mapped. The main island doesn't need mapping (you'll have to expand anyway and it's cheap). The top half of the top right is complete. The lower right island should mostly be complete. The bottom left dawntree was mapped ages ago on another/ this thread. We are missing a lot of the bottom middle island and the right half of the top right island. Please, when you visit neighbors/expand screenshot these uncleared patches.

(And pray to God TL doesn't change the map)

Each cell (and large habitat) is 4x4. IT's the small habitats that are 2x2. I'll try to put what information I have into your new grid structure and post later. Thanks for organizing all this! :)

Ok! Using pictures that idestined provided I entered what we got in my map! I didn't use prices cuz I'm not sure how much does clearing cost but this is the legend:

S = Between 300000 and 480000
L = Between 800000 and 900000
X = X is for the spaces I couldn't find a picture or any other info about.

Nice readable picture! You might want to add some more ranges and also check the google doc info as some items aren't lining up. In the google Doc I posted the exact object(ie Bitter Bark Tree, Mushmold, etc from pics) and quantity and where people have confirmed the price put the price of each object in ( ) after the object.

For instance in E17 There are 2 Small Bitter Bark Trees each costing 30k and 4 Mushmolds costing 25 so the total would be 60.1k . On your map it's showing up as 300k-480k.

My big plan is to create a photo album where we can put photos of the island by which island the spot is located on, so that people can see actual screenshots of what each space will look like.

Also, 1 of the squares on the original map I made is wrong. Top island A1. it was either cheaper, or more expensive, but honestly I cleared the spot over a week ago so I don't remember anymore x-x

I'm really glad people have been compiling the information. I wanted to, but I've been so swamped with midterm projects and now a death in the family that I haven't had a window large enough to compile everything...

Since I can't edit the first post at all I am thinking at some point we are going to have to make a new thread so that the content is easier to find all in one place. [and hopefully get the new one stickied]

I started an island about a month ago and the placement of weeds has changed. The 990,000 boulder on the dawn tree island is no longer in the center back. It is now to the right if you are standing in the center back facing the dawn tree. So other expensive weeds might have moved too. Haven't really kept track of that but this one was obvious to me.

J11 is fung stone (375000) + 2 mushmolds + 1 Timberwood (45000) + 1 small brown tree (I forgot how much).

The finished product, if easily accessible to all, would be super!
So much of this is in my head. I mentally keep track of expanded but uncleared land that I see on other islands and use it to guide my own expansions. I considered drawing a map in my notebook, but with the irregular grid of each cliff, that proved far more labor intensive than the mental map. LOL
Bear in mind that the expansion options may not immediately offer you the plot that you're after. You have to wait for some choice spots.

You'll be ok. The main island doesn't have the big bad nasty expensive trees. The more dragons and habitats you have, the more money you'll make and by the time you start clearing another island, you will have enough coins to do it. I struggled somewhat with the first bitter bark trees at 800000 that I had to clear, but once you pass a certain level, you will have so much coins you won't know what to do with them. I am level 79 and have like 27 millions of coins. I wish I could expand faster but at this point, clearing a patch takes 3 days and getting maps for the next batch take as long. A game of patience it is... Hang in there, it'll be ok :)

Like hamadrys said, just take it easy and all good things will come (meaning, money and rare dragons, lol).
Just be informed about the different habitats and their coin maximum, and always try to put the dragon in the habitat that earns the most. Unless i am mistake, a large fire habitat has a higher coin intake than a small water, so place your right heart there.

I just confirmed that G3 is actually 800k now. It appears TL has made all Bitter Bark Trees off the main Island 800k. It looks like the Google Docs map is all complete except for the starting Island.

D6 has a question mark next to it. I can confirm it's 250k.
The FSs on F10 and H10 are 75k each.
The WWs on I6, I7 and D8 are 50k each.
On D7 there are WW(150k), SBB(30k), SBB(10k) SH, M.
On E6 there are 2SBB(10k ea), TW(15k), M(25)
Is D4 actually blank or do we just not know whats there?

Yeah all main island costs are different(probably to gently bring new users into expansion). Once you leave the main island the prices seem to be consistent from Island to Island and when the price for an item changes it changes on all islands except the main one. The number in the key with the items is the cost off the main island.

Are you looking at them after you have expanded? Lots of time what looks like it is there before expanding is not. I just cleared those spots on another device and they were still the same as the map shows with the only difference being the clearing costs because I had the limitted time clearing discount.

Well i have to thank you all for your great work, i have cleared 3 or 4 BBT of 800K until i figured exactly what you guys did, that every island has the same trees!
So far i completely agree with all space assignments.

To new players take notice of the high cost initial trees, they are really a bummer, i still have a hidden stone path behing that 150K WW on D7, there is no way of reaching it behind the tree, so pay attention to it. Knowing wich spaces are cheaper is really helpfull for not wasting days cleraing and raising money for it, days you use getting money faster by clean spaces. From now on i will use your guide and note any changes i see.
