Tipping Question

Ok so I'm not really a newbie but I have a newbie question.

When you tip do you need to click on the pink stars in order to collect them?

Also what about the yellow stars in your own restaurant?

Feeling dumb but trying to save a little time.

You don't need to click on the pink stars or the yellow stars. They'll stay for a few seconds and then collect themselves.
