Typically when you buy items in bulk the price per unit decreases. In the case of this game fruit starts at $5 per fruit and gradually increases, after upgrading the farm the price per scaly pears rose to $18.5 per fruit. So not only does it take longer to produce it is also way more expensive. This doesn't make sense.
