Gem requirement to speed thins up doubled??!! Why?!

I used to buy gems to speed up production time of certain items. It used to cost 4 gems to speed up a lantern (4 hours production time) but now it costs 8. Is anyone else having this problem?? It happened right after I reached level 20, but it could be because of the update. Very frustrated and wont buy gems anymore :mad:

so im guessing no one has this issue? wanted to know before I contact support.. i also play on my iphone a separate account and noticed it costs 8 gems to speed up a 15 minute stone block, and on the ipad it costs 2 gems for 15 minutes!

They probably increased the cost to boost their gem sales. I hope this is not permanent.

I've checked my costs and they don't seem to have changed. Kitchen still takes 4 gems for 30 minutes.

Gem cost clearly doubled. 15 minute wood beam and stone block now cost 4 gems to speed up. I used to think 2 gems for 15 minutes was absurd, but 4? You've got to be kidding me.

It's even more absurd when you accidentally click the speed up & waste gems

I never used gems to speed up a wisp lantern, so I just started making one to check the gem cost for speeding it up...16 gems! Wow!

Yes it doubled! Its crazy! It happened when the update was released, at least for me...

I've got to admit I don't pay too much attention as I don't speed up things.

I finally get gems since there was a once in a blue moon sale and I couldn't use any because everything was so expensive. I thought it was a bug for a couple people but nope. Guess it was a part of the new additions and buildings giving more coins? Either ways, it's the pits.
