collectble feature not working.

I recently got 100 of those oven mitten things from the collectibles and now when I keep getting them it gets stuck at 10 and won't count for the ones I unlock. As I keep unlocking collectibles, the number of oven mitten's keep going down until I will run out and I won't be able to complete the collectible anymore. Sorry if it sounds confusing.

It's not stuck at 10. I think it's just a design flaw in which the counter is only capable of only showing 2 digits. The number should still be going up, it's just you can't see the third digit. Once you get 111 it should show up as 11.
