Neighbour Request - Unable to accept

Someone has sent a neighbour Request and when I select Accept this dialogue appears with this message:

Success


You were unable to accept the invitation


Continue


it does not explain why I cant accept it does anyone know if this is a glitch or why this has happened?

try restarting the game.
it happened to me too, restarted and the invite disappeared (neighbour appeared in friend list)

I've had that happen too. It was weird tho, the person didn't appear in my list for a couple of days. Meanwhile if I visited them I could play 6 times and when I tried to add them after it happened it said they were already a neighbor

Thanks it has disappeared now since I have restarted DS. I have not checked the list yet but it looks ok now
