Sounds to me like the op might be young, so may not be in the situation where they can just purchase gems. And some of us have no intention of ever buying gems (especially with the lack of updates), and maybe the op is also this way inclined. Either way, and I am not trying to be nasty or anything, but I feel that your reply is just a little short.

To the OP, I dont like your chances of getting your gems back. As the previous poster said you can buy some with real life money, or you can earn them by mastering your recipes . It will take time, but it is possible. There are also competitions, like the bakery of the week, where the prize is gems.
