Frequency of Prime Cuts

I know these prime cuts come from cows and some of the gem animals but how often have you guys seen them drop? So far I have been watching my cows for 2 days and I have yet to receive one.

Cows rarely drop prime cuts.
Black sheep drop one at every collection (so, every 4 hours).
White sheep drop them more frequently than cows. I get one prime cut from my white sheep almost every day. (Sometimes more, sometimes less.)

I have two sheeps (one black and one white) and confirm what MiniLaura said.

Royal cows are said to drop prime cuts aproximately 75% of time. Since you can collect from them every hour (intead of every four hours for the sheeps) for some people this may be a better investment. I have a white cow, I am very dissapointed, it hardly drops any prime cut.

I must say that I am pretty satisfied with my sheeps, their drop rate was good enough to help me finish the baron's goal in a timely manner (after I bought them) and didn't have the impression of rushing thorugh it.
