I think this is some type of server issue. I will go into my game and have food on the verge of expiring. I always try to visit a neighbor or open my newsfeed to get the servers fired up. I then serve my food and order more. Lately I have not been able to visit or get into newsfeed. I go ahead and serve my food, knowing all that tapping will be wasted. Sure enough when I go back to check my food will often spoil and any progress I have made will be lost. This is not occurring ever time, but is happening more often recently. Anything I can do to avoid this. It happens in my other games also, but not as often. I'm on Kindle, Thanksgiving version.
