I would save it and keep it to accelerate breeding and hatching on LE's. When the clock is ticking and getting close to see them disappear, that is what I do.

Yeah, save for the nest, then save for getting LEs if you are running out of time.

If you really like saving, you could save up and buy a diamond or other rare dragon that keeps eluding you.

If you're iOS, you might want to save up for Treasure Caves, if they continue that feature.
