Hey guys. I'll try to keep this thread updated with the latest info regarding the Valentines app. Currently, there is a pop-up that says the version is no longer supported. Disregard that, it's a glitch.

I don't know why those are question marks, some mistake happened but the numbers after those question marks are the number of plates per order.

I downloaded it yesterday but nothing new showed. Tried force closing and restarting - still nothing. Deleted and reinstalled - it worked. (See these things can help :))

Also, one other complaint, the tip collection is the OLD SLOOOOOOWWWWW way still!! Ugh! The new faster tips in the reg version is SO much better! PLEASE FIX THE TIPS in the Val version!!

I love the items. I'm trying to refrain from buying anything. Just making some recipes and collecting parts. If I need to buy double, then oh well! Can't wait to see what bakery has to offer. The coin items are lovely. I'm so surprised. Especially considering the uber inflated prices for the last two holidays. Gifting is annoying in this version. You have to tap the check box in order to select the person. Please fix this issue asap! And please get rid of the slow collecting of coins. I love the turbo speed collecting of tips on the Christmas version.

What's weird is my xmas version IS the newest... 1.6.6 now, which recently the regular was newer, and they said they weren't updating the Xmas version... very weird..... but Valentine is WAY OLDDDDD 1.4.3 and it acts like it too... slow tips, slow visiting nbrs, slow everything. It STINKS so far!

Nbrs are complaining they can't read entire posts... it cuts off the words... just like Home Design regular version does to me. TL has SO many darn bugs right now... crazy high number of bugs! What a pain!

My Val works... but just realized it had an update avail... to make it 1.6.6... so I DL it... now it's WORSE! Everything is HUGE... massively huge screens. And it cuts off messages/posts after like 5 words. I wish I hadn't updated it now, I'd be better off on 1.4.3 version! This really stinks! Hope they fix it ASAP!!! Course like one of my nbrs said... they update on weekends... when nobody is around to FIX their screwups... what a shocker!

But my Xmas version doesn't have ANY Valentine stuff. It's the latest version, but there is NO Val version stuff visible. In fact, if I'm cooking foods in Val version, then close it and go to ANY other version, including Xmas, my ovens are BLANK, and the Fondue Oven is not visible.

I download this, this morning and I bought the new tables etc but people are commenting on my wall saying 'where are your tables'. I don't understand this at all. Anyone else having this problem?

Their app versions do not recognize the new content on your device because those tables don't exist in their games. Once they switch to the Valentine's version, they should see your tables. It's a matter of the app being able to read the code that is the table.

Be careful the valentine version is buggy. Can't see anything unless you are using that version. I am having to repeatedly force a close to clean up issues it is creating.

uhm, this is REALLY important to understand, as the same thing happened in Home Design Story and after 2 weeks it hasnt been fixed yet (and im starting to doubt it will ever be): all the GEM items from seasonal apps, Halloween and Christmas, are not avalaible anymore, even in the players inventory. I repeat gem items, bought with real money.
Now, if TL is going to tie the gem items with the limited editions of the game, to me it sounds a suicidal decision. Im a gem buyer usually and i kept to play even after the whole Bakery Story double increase in prices, and all the other problems we had the past year, but if they are going this way i'll give up. TL is starting to make me feel like an idiot because i give them my money... i like the games, but this would be too much!!!

PS 10 (TEN) gems for a table and it can be seen only from one app? it's already weird they need to release different versions of the same app instead to simply update the existing one with seasonal flavour, at least they should keep them syncronized!

I couldn't get into RS this morning because it was force closing (NullPointerException in ReceivedGiftRowView). I was using the Android Christmas version and it didn't get the gift updates. My neighbors had sent me and requested fondue parts and the Christmas version didn't have those parts. I'm okay on the regular and Valentine's versions.

Another thing I noticed is you can only post about half a line on someone's wall. Sine nobody plays Home Design anymore, did you move people from that game over to RS since that was a problem on HDS from day one for IOS users? Who ever worked on this updated version needs to go back to day one since there are so many things coded like a beginner here.

This is the same glitch for IOS users that was in Home Design Story. TL didn't care then enough to fix it, so I doubt that will happen here. I'm having to do tipping & posting in the Christmas version. Really ridiculous!:mad:

I dont know who i have to talk to about this but i have a missing box item that i purchased from the magic bouquet just realized it cuz was ***a decorate dnt know how long its been missing but i know i had it. Ive never put it out so couldnt have sold it. I have lots of inventory like to change my themes:-)but this missing item is really botherin me now i wondering wat else i have missing.***a double check

This version is really messed up. Why don't you pull it, TL? It's obviously not ready yet. Someone made some major screw ups with this version. Fix everything and bring it back next week. I don't think anybody would mind, if you actually fixed it.

Can someone on each platform post a summary for me of issues they are still having after deleting and redownloading the game so I can get a report over? You can post here, but please send me a PM with your post number.

My issue has to do with messages being truncated. Everything is huge, like the complaints of other players, and it's causing truncated messages. After just a few words, everything cuts off.

Just scroll all the way to the back of the decoration tab and you will see the goal prize. It's still locked. I'm sure we will be getting some goals again.
So a caution to all, DO NOT purchase any new stuffs at the moment! Otherwise, you will risk using gems to skip goal.

Great idea! I'd already be*** buying stuff, but quit redecorating just in case. It would be nice if TL made the goals retroactive so if we have already bought 8 new tables, or whatever, that portion of that goal task is already considered complete.

I was SO close to mastering candy canes! My marker bar was just a teeeeeeny smidgen away from mastery, like maybe one or two more batches of candy canes would have done the trick, and the removed the candy canes from that appliance!!! I was just livid! I had already mastered the candy cane cake so it figures they would leave that recipe available.

I only bought a few to redecorate, but I'm not going to use gems unless they fix the missing gem item issue. It's one thing to double prices to promote longevity, but it's another to remove the gem items you have in your storage because they are seasonal like in Home Design Story.

I really hope more people realize this issue because TL has not addressed such a big issue. We paid for those items!

I do, however, like these new RS items. I like RS now because the graphics got much better and the items are more affordable.

I didn't get any prompt. Also, if you wait for the prompt, they usually come out about 1 week after the release of seasonal versions (if at all) and completing goals on time may become an issue....

Hmm, yes I was worried about that. Considering all these bugs and the fact there aren't any goal yet, I will wait a while anyway so I'm not tempted to buy potential goal decorations :P

A neighbour has levitating appliance box. Another has levitating tips and invisible tables. I am waiting until the bugs are worked out. I think I had the goal in all games. (oops, iOS doesn't have "goals for installing new games . . . Just for beating levels"). I mean the announcement and suggestion to play . . . Got to love the semantics!

That is an understatement the screen size huge, the gift screen almost fills my iPad 2 screen, it really hurts my eyes so much that I was prepared to lose the Valentine's items & reinstalled the Christmas version & thank goodness my screen is back to it's normal size. Anybody on iOS with same problem, rate the app, tell them about the glitch, then reinstall the Christmas version you have all the Valentine items but with a normal size gift screen etc

I downloaded the new RS Valentine Edition for IOS and I have no new decorations, no new ovens, no new recipes,...
Nothing changed! What am I doing wrong here?

I'm still waiting for the goals too. I just have a little second decorated. I don't mind getting double since I have space and coins. I just wish the recipes had a higher yield. But oh well ill just make extra so they stay on the counters. It's so pretty to look at. I wish they would take a cue for bakery and make some items more affordable. I'm grimacing at now being able to decorate when the hearts version comes out there. The red tables are stunning.

Can a Moderator please please please explain to the Kindle Fire users why we keep getting the gifts to send for an update we don't have available? At this point instead of feeling neglected, I feel kind of like being bullied. It's already not fair to us, but now it's like they are trying to rub salt in the wound.

Getting all that stuff is completely random. You get the bouquets by buying decor items, and once in a while the game will drop a bouquet....it's totally random what you get, but the ones you're seeing the least are the rarest for everyone else too. Same with the chef's coat and the knife etc...those come down when you make food, but the ones you see the least are the ones we all see the least too.

There are iOS users that have been playing this game as long as it's been out & they've only gotten 5 or 6 chef coats...in 2 years! Like my mom. I'm on Android & have only played for a few months, but I knew how this worked bc I'd been playing fashion story since March. :) So I wouldn't count on those things as a way to get ahead in the game....they're rewards for constantly playing.

Hi, I can only tell you what works for me. I serve any cooked food, strart new recipes for at least 1 hour, then visit neighbours, eithet in list order if I have time or responding to who has tipped/gifted/responded to a request if I'm short of time. Then, and only then do I visit community members - I play 4 games and manage to keep a 3 or 4 star social rating whilst I've reached at least lvl47 in the 4 games. I work full time 5 days a week - have to confess I'm an early riser too - so usually can get some gam play in before work

Buy the appliance. Tap on the brown box that appears when you place it in your restaurant. You should see a button to request parts from neighbors for parts that you don't have. BTW, the parts you need should be the red ribbon and fondue fork.

Did you update to Carnivals? You may need to go back to the v day version to finish your goals. The v day content is available in carnival, but maybe not the goals.

The Valentine goals were set to expire today.

As I also said in the other thread regarding this topic, My issue is not that they expired today, but when they expired today. There is a very specific countdown timer on the goal icon which tells us not just how many days are left, but down to the numbers of hours left when the goals will expire. When I put the last batch of 1 hour cooking time Sweetheart Treats, that goal icon timer had 3 hours on it. So even if I had waited for almost the extra hour of serving time to put the Treats out (for a total of 2 hours from prepare to serve), there was no indication that the goal would be expired before that tiime. While it was disappointing to not have all the time that other platforms had for these goals due to playing on a Kindle, it is even more disappointing to plan the cooking/serving time out, purchase extra appliances to fall within the goal timer than shows, finish within that time and then just be told that the goals were planned to be removed today. If there were not really 17 hours left last night when I checked around midnight, but only 12 hours, perhaps I would have built more extra appliances yesterday to finish in time. But if the timer says a certain amount of time left, that should be honored. My enthusiasm for this game (and BS) has taken a serious plummet with this event and I'm sad to say that this waning enthusiasm will probably also carry over to my 7 year old daughter as well. It's a shame, since this was a fun (and safe) game for us to play together.

I'm having this problem in Restaurant, Bakery, Castle, Dragon, Farm & Home Design Story where some new items are invisible & some aren't. And the new Swedish Cabinet disappears when you turn it sideways! I can't see my stuff or other people's, but they can see mine. VERY frustrating. I even have invisible food now from the new Swedish oven that I CAN see! I almost put it in storage because I thought the counters were empty! My Justice Dragons are invisible too btw & they aren't all that new.
And while I'm on a roll...what's with the sudden shutdown for maintenance today without any advance warning?!?

To buy and place an item, you need to tap in the upper left corner near the coin. Then go to your restaurant and place.
