Question about building a tool shed

I've searched the forums, but I can't find the answer to my question. I've gotten alot of construction matertial for gifts. So I just started building a tool shed, but I can't figure out how to get the materials out of my inventory to used on my tool shed. Just to be clear I received the gifts first and didn't know how or what to use them for. Somebody please help!! :-)


I just stared my farm 2 days ago so I'm still learning. Please be patient. Thanks in advance!
