Can't store or move rug

Is there a glitch in the game? The turquoise area rug will not highlight when I click on it after going to design. I was trying to store it, but it won't. Everything else I click highlights to move or store except for this rug. I was even able to place a room on top of the rug. It's like the game doesn't recognize it as a rug.

Have you tried reinstalling the game? This may fix the problem. Please let me know the outcome. :)
