Limit on Maps received

I was wondering (I checked through the guide and didn't see any answer but maybe I overlooked it) if there was a limit on how many maps you can receive in a day's time. I've gotten/sent several neighbor requests today and I asked for maps from my new neighbors and my map total has yet to move all day from 35. So any clue as to if there's a limit or if I'm just being impatient and no one has been able to get to my requests?

Limit is 20/day
But, you can send request to more than 20 neighbors , if your already received 20 maps, your request to another neighbors are received (to your neighbors) tomorrow

That means I have to wait for more than two days to expand. Right now it needs 48 maps to expand and seems the number it needs is increasing as well as coins. Sigh...

I'm up to needing 64 maps for every expansion and 70 hours to expand.
