Is there a max number of expansions?

I'm trying to plan my floor plan and I just want to know how far I can expand. I don't want to have too many rooms and have no yard or outdoor area.... Also anyone have an issue when requesting materials and not getting them until the next day? And I know my neighbors are playing because I'm receiving requests from them.

Yes to both of your questions. I woul recommend you to expand all the available land before starting building rooms! I was surprise to see that I couldn't expan anymore :(( and i usually get the requested materials 24 hrs later

I still didn't expand all the land but my nbrs house all look the same sizes

Ok great thank you all! I am kinda upset that I didn't plan it out better. I was buying a room as I was expanding since they take soo long... But I want to have a nice yard so I don't wanted build too many rooms.
