How many gifts can a player receive in a day? How many requests also?

I have tried giving out gifts and some profiles say that they have reached the limit of gifts they can receive in a day. How many can we receive? Also is there a limit to the requests you can send for items needed in achieving goals. I have a friend that I asked to join but she never gets my requests for items and I send her requests daily. I am wondering because some of the goals are timed and all I'm waiting for are the requested items and I don't know how I'll win if nobody gets my requests. TIA

I've read on here you can receive the max of 20 gifts daily. Its annoying when I go to send my neighbors gifts and some wont send because they have reached the max number for that day. You can only ask your neighbors once a day for help with goals.

You can receive 20 gifts per day plus 20 goal/constructible-for makeup counter-parts per day)

You can send unlimited gifts and goal/constructible requests .
