Expanding problem - One area is not enabled to expand

Hello and good day.

I got strange situation - i got tree(area) in my way but i cannot expand that place, (it dont show me that 4sided arrow box as it should) so i am unable to click on it and expand that tree(area) I give 2 screens taken from iphone via printscreen - 1 shows that i got exanding option selected and second one shows that tree impossible to click to expand

here i cannot expand because there is not selectable box to expand on that tree:

Is there somethink i am doing wrong? Or its just a bug? I would like to make the game better in case it is a bug so i will tell how could it happen - i expanded it around to that tree from the other side than where is the starting location. this is only explanation for me why it is not reachable to expand.

That 1 tree has always bugged me, but I think it's the same for everyone.
It's there on all my neighbours islands.

There are areas that you cannot expand.
