Is it possible to breed a ruby dragon or emerald? Very curious... Want both but without spending gold seems like it will take forever

Has any android user (I'm one also) tried doing an insane amount of attempts? They are only 30 second fail times if you bred red/red or green/ green. I would try this but I'm cycling through 3 & 6 hour fails trying for a snowman. Crossing fingers..

Just a guess on my part but since rubies and emeralds are precious stones would it be possible to breed a diamond mix with a regular in android? e.g. quetzal with life. I don't know because I haven't tried yet. I will tomorrow though.

These are supposed tp be bugs, because these dragons cannot, by origin, breed. Or they weren't meant to. Anyway, it's a bug that will be fixed, to the sadness of all of those who's like to breed them....

Technically they should not be able to breed because they are crafted, unnatural dragons. But then it is a game so those rules should not apply. I wonder what happens if we trade in a crafted dragon? Will it break down to it's original components??

I meant breed WITH them. ;) I also think it's good news they're not breedable per se, because of crusader and quetzal. But they wouldn't stand in the way of getting a diamond, in the same way a fire and forest don't, because they're single elements. ;)

It takes 6 hrs to craft ONE gem!!! And you need 12 to get a ruby or emerald!.. 12*6hours! is freaaaking loong...

Are you playing the Old Dragon Story? or New Dawn...because as it's been said many times New Dawn didn't get this update. So dl the original DS and if you have it already update it to 1.2.1

Nope. Mystery boxes are random and I traded over ten super rares already and only got 2 from trading and 1 from crafting

It's worth getting them just because of their beautiful art work. Their coin rates are low but they are amazing eye candy.

Yes I agree they are lovely to look at, I'm just not in a major rush to get them now I know there earning rates and that you can't breed. I'm going to concentrate on getting other dragons at the moment as I only level 48.

You can't breed them. They have to be crafted

These Dragons are crafted,not bred. If you have an iOS device use the orginal DS and NOT New Dawn make sure you've updated it to 1.2.1 and you can craft the dragons.

I'm not sure what Dragon Story wiki you are looking at but on the wikia I work on we don't have earnings on the egg chart. The Dragon chart does but only has earnings at lvl 1, so maybe that is what you looked at. :) Ruby does only make 459 at Epic and Emerald makes 1,395 at Epic. There are a few different ones though so maybe you were looking at a different one.

no, the only way android players can get them is to buy with gold. I guess thats TL's way of making the dragons available to everyone even though crafting hasn't been made available to android yet. personally I really don't think its worth it though since they don't really serve much of a purpose(besides being a really expensive decoration) being unable to breed and taking up precious habitat space

They aren't ment to be able to breed. TL rep has said more then a few times now they plan to fix it but it's no rush since it's a minor thing.

They are not suppose to be able to breed. There is a glitch, but fixing it is on the back burner because it is a minor problem.. The ruby and emerald right now just act as any red or green element. But breeding one in hopes of getting another, will not work. They can only be crafted.

You can breed them using the gemstone dragon and a dragon of the element you want, say gemstone and fire for ruby. gemstone and forest for emerald, etc.

yeah, but gemstone splits, and for some reason hybrid colors REALLY love to split...so if it says rare, but it has a hybrid color in it, expect it to be harder to breed. especially with how much islands just love visiting islands! give it some time, emerald won't be the hardest of the gemstones to breed at least, since it shares one of its colors with the hybrid color gemstone, the only fails you can get are going to be green/blue

Well....It's greater if you use Gemstone & Forest because the Dawntree splits to White & Green (If you don't trust me...Try breeding for Caesar! I got 3 Dawntree fails)
If you see 8Hrs that means you got Emerald but I am not sure if there is another dragon that is 8Hrs :)

dawntree doesn't split! you got 3 dawntree fails because the caesar combo involves white and green.
