Make sure you have the update for the regular bakery game that came out a few nights ago (check itunes).

Yay! Still know actual Christmas app on the App Store though. Yet RS and BS Christmas from last year has been updated. Could this be an Apple issue? At least we have the recipes and items. Shame so many decs cost gems though....

I got the bake shop because I've gems to use but my old granite counters will be dandy enough for all the new food. As much I want the snow globe counter and table it's far too expensive. I've seen how beautiful it is places on the floor but I can't do it. One of the goals are with reindeers, have anyone got to that part yet? I hope it's not for when we finish the santas grotto one. Overall we didn't get much wall and floor decor but I LOVE all the recipes.

Getting the Reindeer Mailbox for sure after I complete all the goals first! XD And we are going to collect one bunch of Reindeers from the goals. Yay! I prefer they give us decorations for goals end reward rather than just recipes. It's a nightmare having to spend more than 1m on one silly recipe. The regular version of Bakery is the most updated version, 1.6.3. If you like using the Christmas version from last year and have the update, feel free to continue using that. But it may not have certain bug fixes and improvements that the regular version does. We are saying to use the regular version because there are many players that can't access the old Christmas versions and because the regular one is the most recent version.

They don't have anything against Android, I'm sure.....we did get the Restaurant Story Xmas version before iOS...my mom was SOOO jealous when I asked if she had it yet...she was chompin at the bit to get it! ;) I'm sure they have different programmers on different apps, and they just want to make sure the bugs are all out before the release us our goodies. I sure can't wait to get it all though!! hahaaa!

PS...as in other games, you might want to wait before you go on a buying spree....they may have goals this time that show up after this update...like on Sunday or something...then you have to buy more stuff then you have money or gems for. :) Maybe just get the bare minimum to make it xmas-y, then in a few days or next week, go all out. ;) I know I've been waiting for the xmas stuff....I play FS, BS, and RS....BS and RS are my favorite games!!

It looks like it's a process. I don't have the goals yet, as I'm on Android, but what I'm gathering is this. There are several parts to the "assemble the reindeer" goal...you have to go through a bunch of goals for the actual reindeer, winning 1 or 2 reindeer at a time, then once you've gotten them all, you will be able to 'assemble' them...the 8 reindeer...and maybe rudolph too?!
So far, I only see goals for dasher, dancer & prancer, vixen, and comet. I don't yet see goals posted for cupid, donner, or blitzen. Hopefully we get Rudolph too! He's the most important reindeer of all - especially if it's foggy. ;)

After playing RS and looking on here to see what the updates are I am disappointed. Not that I was totally amazed with RS either. I am beginning to see why everyone was in a uproar when I first started playing. It was because I didn't know any better. But now I am beginning to see how they are raising the prices in gems for almost everything. The really nice thing is that their is still chairs and tables from last year that is on here so (the sum of us) that don't have a lot of gems can still decorate in Christmas. But we must remember this game is a buisness. Most buisness have to find a way to make money or they don't last. T

Unfortunately, I'm disappointed with this update.

I was puzzled by this too at first. But when you finish the cooking part you will get a reindeer as a gift. Place it on the floor and that one will get checked off. When you finish all of the cooking and get all the reindeers, santas grotto will be released to you.

They don't cause a negative profit. The coins you pay are at the top and the coins you earn are at the very bottom. Maybe you're looking at the number of servings instead?

I don't understand. Some of the new Christmas recipes are using general ovens and drink machines. Why can't TL add these recipes to android users? TL added the autumn ovens to android users....why not the Christmas ovens too? I just don't understand!! It is very frustrating to be able to receive and give the snowflake gear and the snowflake knob tools but not be able to build the new ovens. Do I accept these gifts? Will android users ever be able to use them? It is also frustrating to see your neighbors with wonderful holiday decorations but I cannot buy these because I use my android phone and not an apple product. I am at Level 99 and want to enjoy the Bakery Story game just like my neighbors! I just don't understand!!

How do you complete the assemble reindeer goals? I completed Dasher I don't even know how I did that

It gets updated as you complete the tasks to get the reindeer. If you served the Chocolate cookies in the goal then you completed the Dasher task. You got the Dasher reindeer in your floor decorations tab, and the Assemble reindeer goal is updated.

It actually says "well-done" toast, not burnt, which is quite a bit of difference. Some people like dark toast, some like it light.

I know, its ridiculous already....I really love this game, but now I'm starting to get annoyed. Christmas is a much bigger holiday than Halloween and Thanksgiving put together, yet kindle users are left out. We'll probably get it 2 days before Christmas, LAME! I have iPhone, and there is no Christmas Bakery Story. I searched the App Store. I do have some items to buy in the game that are Christmasy, but the actual game is still Halloween version.

The regular Bakery Story is the most up to date version of the game. I would uninstall the Halloween one, & install the original.

once u finish the goal for a particular reindeer u will find it in the design tab. it doesnt need to be assembled.

I love the changes you guys have made to the music. I actually turn my volume up now. I am also glad that you have listened to everyone's requests not to make us build a billion new appliances, by giving us most of the new recipes on appliances we already have. I agree that the toast is a horrible recipe for Christmas. I do not know ANYONE who eats toast for a Christmas treat, lol. I also dislike the new wallpaper - to me, it looks more like wedding bells than Christmas decor. Other than that, the update is okay in my opinion. Please give MANY more items next week, though :)

Was loving the Xmas goals for the reindeer till I got to blitzen. Now I have to buy 8 Xmas wallpaper, 1 gem each. One I don't have 8 gems and two I don't want that wallpaper. If it was coins fine. You don't have to buy that wallpaper. However, if you did have to spend only 8 gems in order to get all the reindeer and the grotto, that's a great deal.

@sourlicorice5: Don't get trick in spending 8 gems to buy the Holiday lights wallpapers. Just buy any normal wallpapers and it will still count to the goals. That's what I did when I reach that goal. ^^

Just out of interest, what happens when Christmas is over?
I've never played a holiday edition before so...

When I installed the Christmas one all my original goals stopped and the Christmas goals took over (even when I go back on the original they're still there). So when do the normal goals start up again? And will I need to delete the Christmas app? Etc etc. I'm just a bit confused as to how it all works. :D

Eg The latest iOS Christmas edition has such nice items like snow-covered houses, Christmas trees, Santa's sleigh! I get they want the background to look good but I would much rather these items inside the actual bakery than outside!

I won't pay gems for a christmas tree. A christmas tree should be available for everyone. Maybe 50.000 bucks or so...

I just downloaded the iOS Christmas version and it's WAY slow (same with RS)... I didn't see a thread on this anywhere but is anybody else having this problem?

The game loads slow, my bakery is empty when I start up and all of my decor etc. pops up little by little. Visiting neighbors snd even just swiping is choppy. The only thing that's quick are the stupid stars; they bounce much faster. If that's the reason why everything else is slowed down please fix it!

I made something terrible with the reindeers and I was not aware of it. I bought some gems to "have them all", so where it says [skip for 40 gems] I clicked thinking that in that way I would skip all the process and have immediately the reindeer... I did that with 3 reindeers and did not realized I wasn't buying them, I was literally skipping them :( !!!
Now I have no gems and no reindeers. They are not in storage and the red tick is marking them as if I had them.
I want them back -Donner, Blitzen & Rudolph- :'C
What can I do?

One more thing: in the process of 'how do I get something', if I click [skip for x gems] any step (to cook or visit) will I be skipping the process? or also the prize? (as it happened with the reindeers)

I have done the skip a few times and all it does is skip the task but not the prize. I am surprise you didn't get the reindeer ...maybe you need to close the app and check again?

I was wondering about what happens if you skip the tasks for one reindeer too. So if I skip Blitzen, I would get the reindeer?

You must have bought Santa's oven, the winter wonder oven is pink and has a white bow/ribbon. This appliance will exhaust your snowflake parts.
