Why does my Quest button disappear?

I'm on Android, Galaxy S plus. Usually, I play the Thanksgiving edition, but Halloween and regular are still installed. In either version, my quest button keeps disappearing. It doesn't even show up for most of the time. I have already reinstalled the Thanksgiving version and have restarted my device multiple times so far. It's been for about two weeks now and it only showed up again when the last update was announced to tell me to install Dragon Story New Dawn. Also for a few seconds today, but that's all.
What's going on? As far as I know I've finished all the quests except those for advertisement. But it's pretty annoying.

If you have finished all the goals, you will no longer see your icon .
As for promotional game goals, did you receive extra gems for installing Dragon story?
If you already had Dragon Story installed, the gems have of automatically been credited.
